bryan.. You should always run first.. Also always to your legs before your upperbody when lifting.. Your testostarone (spl ?) gets going with the larger legs muscles being worked.. going from legs to uppperbody make the lift that much more beneficial.. It is no surprise that someone like BOOBy wouldn't be aware of this..

good luck!<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Hehe, this from a 220 lb lard ass. Have another McFlurry.

Bryan-- I've probably read at least a dozen articles that all say the exact opposite... that the running will burn more actual fat if done after lifting. Frankly I don't think you can really lose either way... you're going to burn a shitload of calories regardless, and burning calories is your bottom-line. You won't get as much out of your lift if you run first, though (of course you should ALWAYS do some warm up cardio... 8-12 mins... before any lifting, even if you plan on running later). And while weight loss may be your goal, adding muscle does in fact have more metabolism-boosting benefits than your run. After a run alone, your metabolism will remain at a higher level for only a handful of hours. After lifting alone, your metabolism is boosted for at least a day. Of course the actual running sheds more fat than the actual lifting. Just do it all and basically keep doing what you're doing.

Oh, hey Kody--

Kodiak,
You are way off on what should be your appropriate weight. You should be much lower than you think....I run and stay in real good shape at 6' 2" and I don't weight more than 160 at any one time. Being overweight will really cut down on your life expectancy. Even slightly under your ideal weight would be better b/c they've done studies on animals and slighly under fed animals live much longer.
