Federal agents found and arrested an illegal immigrant, Oscar Romero Martin-Zacarias, at a home in Brownsville, Texas, cuffing him on weapons charges after they discovered he was in possession of a gun.

The handgun had the serial number filed off, agents said, Breitbart reported.

Three other illegals were arrested at the home, too, during a raid conducted by Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Border Patrol. Mr. Romero, who’s from Guatemala, was formally charged by U.S. Magistrate Judge Ignacio Torteya of illegal possession of a firearm and ordered to be held without bond.

Court documents indicated Mr. Romero actually told agents he had a gun inside a safe that was at the house, Breitbart reported. Agents found the Hi-Point .40 caliber handgun and saw that the serial number was filed off. When asked, Mr. Romeria said he bought the weapon for $150

You've probably heard that Microsoft announced plans to lay off 18,000 workers. That's hard news for a lot of people and families.
You've probably noticed that the announcement came just one week after Bill Gates co-authored an op-ed for the New York Times that called for more foreign workers to fill jobs in science, technology, computer, and engineering occupations.
Congress hasn't said much about these events. But Senator Jeff Sessions (the lead opponent of the Gang of Eight bill in the Senate) took to the floor yesterday and had a lot to say.
Watch Sen. Sessions' speech here.
As reported here, Sessions also issued a challenge to Senators who supported the Senate bill to double guest worker visas: With Microsoft laying off 18,000 workers, come down to the Senate floor and tell me that there's a shortage of qualified Americans to fill STEM jobs.
Spread the word,

Could the Mainstream Media Be Waking Up?

JULY 15, 2014 BY BOB DANE 7 COMMENTS
Sporadic Outbreaks of Truth Being Reported…
Just a few months ago most of the major newspapers portrayed President Obama as the Deporter-in-Chief. The stories hyped flawed statistics claiming the president was inhumanely removing an unprecedented number of illegal aliens, despite factual evidence to the contrary.
Truth be told – and FAIR told it many times to tin ears – Obama’s deportation numbers have steadily declined year after year and are now on par with the Ford Administration’s. The mainstream media also ignored the fact that enforcement officials have been quietly instructed to remove only aliens convicted of violent felonies while ignoring most other illegal aliens. Given those realities, we’re surprised, yet pleased, to notice a subtle shift towards more honest reporting on the numbers and opinion editors linking Obama’s dismantling of immigration enforcement to the current border surge.
On April 1 of this year – and it was no April Fool’s Joke – the Los Angeles Times ran a story, High Deportation Numbers Misleading. The article reported that, “expulsions of people who are settled and working in the United States have fallen steadily since his first year in office, and are down more than 40% since 2009.” It even quoted John Sandweg, a former acting director of ICE as saying, “if you are a run-of-the-mill immigrant here illegally, your odds of getting deported are close to zero — it’s just highly unlikely to happen. ” And we needed the smelling salts after reading last week’s lead editorial in the Washington Post that acknowledged, “lax enforcement patterns that have allowed tens of thousands of young immigrants to stay in this country after entering without documentation.”
Given this administration’s monumental mismanagement of so many issues, perhaps the recent truth telling about Obama’s immigration debacle may be more than outbreaks of “accidental journalism.” Could it possibly be that factual reporting on Obama’s screw-ups make for more compelling copy than stale stories promoting his amnesty agenda? With newspapers losing circulation, money and credibility, factual reporting might ironically be a fashionable new trend that revitalizes the medium.

The immigration policies in our country are ass fucked up to say the least.

A Canadian immigrant pursuing a pre-med degree at a university in Florida is finding it difficult to pursue his American dream of becoming a doctor because of his "non-resident alien" status. Writing a commentary for The Daily Signal, the young man shares his frustration of playing by the rules as an immigrant, while illegal immigrants receive special treatment.

Brandon Macknofsky came to the United States with his parents at age six. He grew up and went to school in Coral Springs, Florida. Currently, he is enrolled at Florida Atlantic University, pursuing a bachelor's degree in biological sciences and pre-med. His dream is to one day become a doctor.

Macknofsky entered the U.S. under his father's work visa and now has his own student visa. He explains that his father is "a typical hard-working American citizen" -- "paid his taxes…[and] worked feverishly as a computer consultant." Now, his father has been sponsored for a green card and the family's path to citizenship is as close as ever.

For Macknofsky, this meant he could now attend medical school. However, he soon found out that since he had recently turned 21, he had "aged out" and couldn't remain under his father's green card. This means he is considered an international student and can't enroll in state medical school. Looking for an alternative, he found out that few private universities will accept students without green cards. And even if he were allowed enrollment in a private university, Macknofsky couldn't secure a student loan or a scholarship without a green card.

Macknofsky's complaint is simple: He is living legally in the U.S., but still pays out-of-state tuition at Florida Atlantic University. Yet, Florida Governor Rick Scott signed a new law that grants in-state tuition to illegals. Macknofsky asks:

How can someone who is living in the United States illegally get a tuition break but I get penalized for doing things legally?

I played by the rules on immigration. Why is the U.S. making it so hard for me to become a doctor?

Macknofsky makes his plea:

At Florida Atlantic University, I have a 3.87 GPA, tutor for biochemistry and work up to 10-hour shifts as a hospital emergency room physician scribe a few times a week. At a time when the United States is facing a shortage of doctors, I’m committed to a career in medicine. I’ve been so grateful for the opportunities in life that I hope I can give back to my community through medicine.

For the past 15 years, I’ve come to call the United States my home. I consider myself an American in every way, and I hope that one day, I’ll become a citizen. In the meantime, though, I hope our nation’s leaders will remember those of us who are following a legal path to citizenship and at least level the playing field for us.

Good luck to all who are following a legal path to citizenship.

A letter that was written by a substitute teacher is making national headlines as illegal immigrants aren’t so much grateful as they are greedy. According to this teacher’s testimony, illegals care nothing of American generosity and Americans stole land from Mexico and this influx is an attempt to take it back.
The letter was written by substitute teacher Tony Hill who explained his recent experiences teaching classes in and around Phoenix, Arizona. As the government is forcing local schools to now take in and educated those that break our nation’s laws, it seems that these illegals aren’t nearly as desperate as Obama let on.
(See also: Rand Paul SLAMS MSNBC: Try Telling The Truth 24/7)
According to Hill, classes ranged from 28-38 students (larger classes to account for the influx of illegals), most of whom were Hispanic with a few blacks sprinkled in. During his time teaching, the students were extremely disrespectful saying they would not say the Pledge of Allegiance because they weren’t American.
In fact, they explained that Americans not only stole their land, but they were back – along with the surging illegals – to take back the land that once belonged to them. Hill also details a series of other disrespectful actions that further demonstrated their ungratefulness towards America.
Feel free to watch the video above and let us know what you thought of this letter by leaving us a comment below.

Nah. This guy is trying to be everything Obama despises. He’s hard working, wants to better himself and not rely on other people.

Not Obama’s type. He loves him some lazy dependency driven victim of society. The more the better.
