damn.....:massage:

I can't PROMISE thats her. I pulled that pic offa "Fake Newsy" feeling website that reported this story accurately then planted that pic below, using it as a, like: "Comment Here" carrot-on-a-stick LURE....to provoke comments, I suppose....they "imply" its her, to me anyways. If thats her though (and that pic is recent & not from 10 years ago or sumthin) then this here is surely among TOP 3 of accomplishments on the part of these Male Students. Who get caught up in this type of deal.

How is it that we as a species can accomplish so much, be so "Smart" (supposedly anyways) yet we cannot figure out that theres multiple very good and sound reasons that a Male Teacher with an underage GIRL is not something that should happen (due to "development" of the female brain, Dependency Issues, "position of control" i.e. BlackMail/Undue Leverage among many other factors) but Female Teacher with Boy Student is totally different, possibly the most "Apples to Oranges" comparison there could be?

I can't imagine any Psychologist would even attempt to disagree with that, try to say: "They're the same."

I don't feel like I'm tryin' to argue against some "punishment" for these Female Teachers as....I guess having them go unpunished would be to "encourage" such behavior which one could forsee leading to problems.....I guess I'm just surprised that it feels like we are expected to perceive these two vastly different scenarios as even remotely similar to one another when it seems obvious to me at least that they are not.

the obvious inference is that she could pass for younger

You're a Doctor. You agree the two things are not the same, right? I mean with your advanced understanding of human brains, human developement....processessess (Praw-sess-seeees), Correct?

Just looking for Scientific Validation of My Theory here.

well they're being punished because 1 is an adult who is in a position to manipulate a minor, regardless if the adult offender is a male or female

the reflexive nature of most men saying they would totally have sex with their teacher is from the inherent idea that despite the difference in age, they are a man and they are still superior to a woman regardless of age. when a girl chooses to have a relationship with their teacher, they are perceived as being naiive, manipulated, and not knowing what they really want (or at least this is what i would tell my hypothetical daughter if she were ever to be so...stupid)

ultimately it is inappropriate for students and their teachers to have relationships regardless of the gender of the teacher. in my opinion for the teacher, it's about being a professional and eliminating all potential suspicion of exploiting their position of power and influence. for me i feel students in general just don't make good decisions. legally if they're 18 and decide to have a relationship after he/she graduates, i guess that would be somewhat appropriate (not sure exactly what the law is, but if it says it's ok then i guess it's ok).
but in general i think you and i would agree we all did pretty stupid shit in our teens and 20s, and just because you're older doesn't really mean you make good decisions. i think it's appropriate the law try to weed out bad decisions by making the age limit of adulthood 18.

I would propose the Bolded up there to be TRUE in this particular set of circumstances. Female: you have a Completely Greater Odds of a Hook-Up being cultivated by that Male Teacher nefariously (leveraged) + I completely 100% believe that a Female Brain at the Under 18 stage is in so much more delicate (perilous) of a place re: Sexual Relationship and in particular that with a (significantly) older Male. I'm talking SCIENCE here. Physiology, Biology, Sociology...whatever science it is that would apply. Maybe all of those.

I postulate here that at the stage of Development at question here when combined with the circumstance present that the Female is Inferior to the Male due to not just "Development" (Biological Realities) but factors beyond those i.e. the U18 Female + Adult Male "Dynamic" (those "other factors i.e. Undue Pressure even outright Assault then leverage to not Report)....'Girls got dealt a less good hand than Boys' (within this here circumstance)

Trying to post all Doctorly up there ^^^^ in that paragraph, like New England Journal of Medicine-like, and I believe I succeeded in that but surely you'd agree that in the circumstance being discussed Males are in fact "Superior" to their Female counterparts.

when a girl chooses to have a relationship with their teacher, they are perceived as being naive, manipulated, and not knowing what they really want (or at least this is what i would tell my hypothetical daughter if she were ever to be so...stupid)

Well they would absolutely BE. Due to that very Fragile and Delicate stage of Development Intellectually & Maturity-Wise as pertains to Decision Making where regards getting involved in a sexually intimate relationship. Girls, at this point like a delicate flower or.....an egg. Boys like a Soccer Ball or a Boulder. At this Stage of their Development.

Come at met with: "Girls Mature Faster. Proven Scientifically." I know you will and you might be right (you would know, after all, you're paid to know this stuff. You went to school for this stuff) and I will shoot that down with:

'I am talking in reference to these specific circumstances: Sex with Teacher.'

Yeah, I definitely agree with all that, makes good sense. Inarguable....that ^^^^ IMO anyways.

Married mother-of-two teacher, 29, is indicted on 14 sexual assault charges after she 'had sex with her 17-year-old student who revealed the affair after he tried to kill himself'.

A married health teacher in Maine has been indicted on multiple sexual assault charges after being accused of repeatedly having sex with her 17-year-old student.
Jill Lamontagne, 29, has been charged with six counts of gross sexual assault, two counts of unlawful sexual contact, and six counts of sexual abuse of a minor in Kennebunk on Wednesday.
The mother-of-two was released on $1,000 bail and is scheduled to be in York County Superior Court on December 22.
'The indictment was the culmination of an investigation into a relationship Lamontagne allegedly had with a juvenile, male student while she was a teacher at the school,' Kennebunk Deputy Chief of Police Michael Nugent said Wednesday, Seacoast Online reported.
The claims against her came to light in mid-June after the alleged victim attempted to commit suicide.
In June, a district court judge barred the former Kennebunk High School teacher from making any contact with the student for two years because of the sexual abuse complaint.
Lamontagne, who has been married for six years and has two young children, a son and daughter, was placed on administrative leave from the school on June 12, after the student's family contacted school officials claiming that he had had sexual contact with the teacher, reported the Portland Press Herald.
According to court documents filed by the student's mother requesting a protection order, her son was hospitalized in Maine Medical Center on June 9 after ingesting a cocktail of medications in a failed attempt to end his life, including ibuprofen, Tylenol, cold medicine and a blood thinner.
The next day, the boy confided in his aunt that he and his teacher, Lamontange, have been involved in a sexual relationship, and that he was 'so sorry for all the bad things he did'.
Rumors had been swirling about the boy and Lamontagne for some time, but he had previously denied them, according to Journal Tribune.
'He said he loved her, he said it happened numerous times, in the classroom, at her house, in her car. She told him that she hadn't had a sexual relationship in two years,' his mother stated in the court papers.
The 17-year-old student claimed that Lamontagne performed oral sex on him, and that 'other stuff happened' between them as well.
According to the court filing, one sexual encounter took place when Lamontagne instructed him to come over to her home, and that the two of them 'fooled around'.
The complaint states the student said he felt 'used' by Lamontagne, but wanted to carry on with their affair and did not want her to go to prison.
Superintendent of Regional School Unit 21 Katie Hawes said Lamontagne had taught at Kennebunk High School for five years.
She was first placed on administrative leave while the school district investigated the claims against her.
But she resigned from her position as a teacher at the school. Her resignation was accepted by the school's board of directors on September 18.
According to Lamontagne's personal teaching blog, the 29-year-old wife and mother earned her Bachelor's degree in health sciences from the University of Southern Maine in 2010, followed by a Master's degree in inclusion education from the University of New England in 2013.
She was hired straight out of college to work as an education technician at her alma mater, Kennebunk High School, and in 2012 she took the position of lead health teacher.
Lamontagne, a self-described sports fan and half-marathon runner, also coached girls' baseball and softball at the local middle school.
Under a rubric titled 'Mission Statement' on her blog, Lamontagne wrote: 'My mission is to be an exceptional role model for my students. As a health teacher, I educate students about many aspects of their lives/lifestyles and I believe that I need to practice what I preach.
'To be successful in teaching students about these very sensitive topics, I am trustworthy, honest and reliable. I strive to be all of these things, along with kind, healthy and responsible so that I am a great role model and mentor for my students.'

A teacher at a Christian school in Florida has been arrested for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with one of her teenage male students.
Suzanne Lea Owen, 35, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon and charged with one count of custodial sexual battery, a first-degree felony.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the Special Victims Unit responded to Evangelical Christian School in Fort Myers.
“The investigation revealed that [Owen] had one sexual encounter with the male student one week prior, where the two decided to meet off-campus,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release. “Detectives further discovered the teacher had been communicating with the student through personal text messages several weeks prior to the incident.”
The school’s headmaster released a statement to the parents of students on Wednesday evening, saying that Owen was fired immediately after the school learned about the incident.
