Is the 17-year old boy going to jail? Why not?
The United States is a puritan police state. 23-year old teacher should not go to jail for giving a blowjob to a 17-year-old boy who doesn't feel he's been the victim of any crime.
I have a 17-year old son, he's free to bang has many hot female teachers and he wants.
Then it's the 14 year old and his parent's prerogative to press charges. Parents have more sense that headline-seeking prosecutors.
Same with these idiotic sexting prosecutions, where two kids are charged with child pornography?!!? If there isn't any "victim" pressing charges (or parents on behalf of minor) there shouldn't be any crime. Prosecutors are out of line.

Kent teacher accused of having sex with a student

A female teacher at Kentlake High School is facing felony charges for allegedly having sex with one of her 17-year-old students.
Barbara Jeanne Anderson, 37, was booked into King County Jail last Thursday for felony investigation of sexual misconduct with a minor, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office. She was released the next day, pending charges.
Anderson was the student’s math teacher and after-school tutor during his sophomore year, according to court documents.
School officials first contacted the Sheriff’s Office on March 8 after the boy’s mother approached Kentlake staff members. The mom reportedly became suspicious about the relationship after seeing an inordinate number of text messages between her son and the teacher. Anderson allegedly texted the boy roughly 800 times, including more than 100 texts in a 24 hour period.
The student also told his uncle that “he was getting laid by a teacher,” according to court documents.
An investigation ensued and the teacher was soon arrested.
She's been placed on administrative leave and the case is being forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for formal charges.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the statute used in this case is written to prohibit teachers or other school employees from having sexual intercourse with students who are 16 or 17 years old when the employee is at least 60 months older than the student.

Eppie Sprung-Dawson, 26, who is married to the son of a former solicitor general of Scotland, has been reported to prosecutors after police apparently surprised her with the unnamed boy.
Another pupil called officers after seeing them pull in, it is claimed.
Both Mrs Sprung-Dawson and the boy have taken time off school since the alleged incident on Dec 22, after classes broke up for Christmas.
Education officials refused to confirm whether the teacher had been suspended. But a source at the school said: “Everybody’s talking about this at the school and it’s all over Twitter and Facebook.
“Apparently they were returning from a dance when they decided to pull in at a lay-by. The rumour is that another pupil spotted them and called police.”
The source described Mrs Sprung-Dawson as a popular member of staff who was dedicated to her pupils, adding: “If this turns out to be true, she will most certainly lose her job. This is known as a respectable Roman Catholic school.”
Mrs Sprung Dawson teaches English at St Joseph’s College, a Catholic comprehensive in Dumfries with around 800 pupils. It was set up by the Marist teaching order of monks. She has a number of positive reviews from pupils on the website ratemyteachers.com.
One described her as a “legend”, adding: “She improved my English a lot and taught me good techniques and she made me read more. She tried to make her lessons as fun as possible.” Another said: “Miss Sprung is amazing! She was such a laugh at the panto.”
Her husband, Ranald Dawson, 32, also a teacher, is the son of the late Lord Dawson, a former solicitor general for Scotland and judge in the Scottish Supreme Courts. The couple married in Selkirk in April 2010.
They were not available for comment yesterday, but a source close to the Dawsons said: “As far as I was aware, they had a great marriage. This would be most out of character for Eppie.
“She and Ranald have always been dedicated to their careers and respected by their students.”
Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary confirmed that a 26-year-old woman had been reported to the procurator fiscal, adding: “It would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.” A spokesman for Dumfries and Galloway council confirmed that they were investigating.

A former middle school gym teacher was arrested Monday for a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Monday. Shawnetta D. Reece, 40, of Blairsville, was sexually involved with the student in 2013, the agency said in a news release. Reece was arrested after the Union County Sheriff’s Office received information on the alleged relationship, and asked the GBI to assist with the investigation. “The student was moving from the 8th grade into the 9th grade during this time,” the news release stated. “As a result of the investigation, Reece has been arrested for child molestation and sexual assault by persons with supervisory or disciplinary authority.”
