The guy starts 0-2 and has a bad game on MNF and all of a sudden the next 10 years of his career are over. He should just start pulling a Brady and just throw the ball 8 yards every down and counting on Edelman getting 15 yards after the catch.

he should.. but he'd probably overthrown him

Sometimes when you surpass initial expectations so fast, people expect too much. Luck will be fine.

Without stress, there is no progress.

that's an excellent suggestion. 8+ yards a play wins games. Unfortunately his HGH use probably has clouded his thought processes and he is unable to understand that.

The roaches are coming out of the woodwork.

When it is all said and done, at the end of the year he just needs to win his final 4 games in Jan/ Feb. or maybe even 3.

With the Colts O-Line, they would be much better off with Newton or Wilson.

Over my dead body. Those 2 aren't even real quarterbacks. The Colts just don't do the black qb thing. It's unbecoming. With their defense, those 2 morons would be forced to drop back 40 times a game and then stupid decisions will come once that happens.

[h=1]Jim Irsay: Andrew Luck “knows the pressures” that come with contract[/h] Posted by Darin Gantt on August 3, 2016, 6:13 AM EDT

Getty ImagesOf course it was mostly about the quarterback.
But in explaining how the injury to Andrew Luck torpedoed the Colts’ season last year, owner Jim Irsay also pointed to all the other many things that were screwed up about the 2015 Colts — who were better when Luck wasn’t playing.
Irsay pointed to the constant concerns about Chuck Pagano’s contract and his relationship with General Manager Ryan Grigson, which was resolved by a new deal and lashing the two of them together.
“Last year, it wasn’t that there was some distraction or Chuck’s lame-duck status or Ryan and Chuck’s relationship was difficult, so that made us struggle,” Irsay said, via Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star. “Really, it was more of a year where our franchise quarterback got hurt. If that doesn’t happen, who knows what kind of year we would have had?”
Of course, Luck wasn’t playing his best football when he was well enough to stand, with 15 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in seven games, for a career-low 74.9 passer rating and a 2-5 record in games he played.
But that didn’t deter Irsay from giving him a giant contract, and the expectations that come along with it.
“Every year that Andrew is in the discussion about being the MVP of the league type of guy, (then) we are having a great year,” Irsay said. “It’s a quarterback-driven league. There’s no question about it. We want to do everything we can to get him in the position to play great and be in that three or four guys in the league that’s talked about for the MVP. That’s the way it should be every year.
“He’s up to the challenge. He knows the pressures that come with being Andrew Luck.”
The first step is overcoming the pressure of all the things wrong with the Colts that aren’t Andrew Luck.

Peyton Manning had a pretty weak Oline at one point and he still made the best of it and won plenty of games. Luck will never win a Superbowl for Colts. Peyton did it. Luck will NOT. He's good but not good enough.

I do wonder, however, how good Wilson or Newton but especially Wilson would be without a strong running game and especially a very good defense.

You can get by without those things for so long, then you get exposed in the playoffs. Most of Manning's failures were because they didn't have an elite D or OL.

He did win a Superbowl though. Indy never had a great D I agree but their pass defense was pretty good in those days with, damn what's that safety's name, Sanders? Mathis and Freeney rushing. That's what the team was built for. Getting a lead and letting their pass d do the rest.

Back to the point. Luck will not win anything in Indy. I'm not saying he's terrible I'm just saying I don't see the stars aligning for him.

John Elway would donate one of his nuts if he could somehow sign Andrew Luck.

Ain't going to happen but only fools don't believe Luck is a talent.

That's what I'm saying. He has talent but it won't happen in Indy. Stars won't align for him there. He needs to get out.

I actually think Luck will have a bounce back year

But the word around Indy is that this guy is still struggling big time in practice
