The flag came out so late too! The touch occurred on the 15 yard line, both players are well into the endzone the ball hits the ground and then the flag comes out?!? It's like the idiots are trying too hard to get involved. If it's a clear egregious call the flag comes out right away.

not to take this thread on a tangent, i'd be remiss.

Argentina got questionable penalties VS:

qtr_ Holland (2nd goal)
semi- Croatia (1st goal--was late in 1st half the game was even , in fact Croatia had a slight edge. It literally changed the game)
final - France (1st goal)

with those 3 goals , VARS wasnt used .....for ANY OF THEM,lol

have a look at Croatia penalty,. It was a collision, the goalie can defend himself, he came out to cut the angle. . Its spilt second. Th ref was 20 yds behind the play and saw Argentian fly after the collision, lol. No Vars needed

100% correct! Argentina got so many penalty kicks that were just dives! I felt kind of cheesy winning with them, but I've been on the wrong side too many times I'll take the win. But I'll always admit it when it's a terrible call, and man that second goal vs Holland, what a travesty!! Football is becoming like soccer. Does Mahomes get the unnecessary touching penalty in the AFC Championship game if he doesn't flop? Who knows? The league should start calling unsportsmanlike conduct penalties to prevent diving from permeating throughout the league!
