The only Neteller connection is that these guys USED to work for them a few years ago.

Nothing to worry about really.

So they both happen to be travelling in the US at the same time, but not together ? That alone is very odd.

Yea you guys with thousands of dollars in Neteller how can you possibly worry. How can there be any connection with the fact that both these guys used to own Neteller and they are both arrested on the same day mean anything.
I am sure they are just talking about the weather or maybe they had a couple parking tickets.

Even if you had thousands of dollars with neteller don't worry there is no reason to even check back on this story.

Maybe Uncle Sam will hold them hostage & torture them
until Neteller shuts down. But like BOS they will say FU
and ride off into the sunset with their saddle bags full
of fort knox bullion.

I dumped everything in Betfair just in case. Don't think it will amount to anything, but you never know.

Does this mean I will lose my 10,000 net points and my chances at all that money they give away? I am really due with those!
Have everything I have off-shore now with Greek(withexception of Pats' SB future at pinny). When he quits I am gone! God, I just thought, I might have to get a life. The horror!

I can understand a little paranoia based on the recent pullout of Pinny, but this really doesn't concern me much. Gambling911 is still the only one news source I can find reporting this story, and that includes the British and European financial press. Either Gambling911 deserves a Pulitzer for the "scoop", or the legit financial press doesn't see this as a big news story since they haven't been involved with Neteller for a number of years. It could be a case that a couple of Canucks get arrested in the US and Gambling911 decided to make it a "story" by hyping their Neteller involvement. I agree that Neteller's future is cloudy at best, but based on the collective yawn from the legit financial and news media I'm not going to rush to judgement....

I just withdrew 20 of the 25 dimes I had in there. Whether these guys were arrested or not, I expect Neteller to cut off gambling transactions any day as it is. I'm not taking any big chances witht hem. I'll be relieved when I cash the check this week.

It's possible that it hasn't received any coverage yet because these gambling arrests and shutdowns lag by a day or two in news coverage sometimes, in addition to today being a holiday.

I am going to play it safe & stay north of the border, up here
in my igloo. Wouldn't want to be busted in the USA for being
a dual citizen and using Neteller!

Right after the FBI arrested the two neteller founders at opposite ends of the country, the sent out a memo to gambling911.com and only gambling911.com bypassing all normal news outlets and the company itself!

That's exactly how they are going to enforce this new "don't make book" legislation...they're going to arrest every one who goes to the states who's running offshore books. So if they keep booking, they simply have to stay out of the states forever. Forever gets to be a long time after a while. Some bookmakers, especially the ones who have made a huge score in the business, are asking themselves if it's now worth it to stay in the biz and risk their freedom or perhaps not be able to return to the U.S. without facing arrest. A lot of these guys aren't the type that could do time easily. They aren't career wiseguys. Most of these guys are younger computor or marketing experts that went into offshore gambling because they saw an opportunity that the industrial age dinosaur bookies weren't exploiting.

But you cant come back to the states either way at this pt.... So you might as well keep booking.
