I think I believe Adrian just doesn't know better. He may truly be a loving father, and this is the kind of treatment he got when he was y oung, but it looks like he really went off on that little 4 year old. Can you imagine Adrian Peterson going off on a little four year old, knowing how explosive he is, as we all know from seeing him run?! He even said, I wished he would have cried so I would have known that I was going too far and for too long. Geez. Well, he stuffed leaves in the kid's mouth before commencing the beating so the kid wouldn’t/couldn't yell out. Adrain felt his whoppin's at the hands of his father helped him go straight, so that’s his knowledge base.
Adrian will get suspended at least 6 games. Would probably be a year or more if there was video!

It's not the steroids, at least it's not entirely the steroids. I've been around high level athletes and gym rats my entire life, so im very well versed with steroid users, cases where guys were totally chill personalities who became rageaholics are more urban legends than the reality. Gear enhances your personality, basically ups your confidence, if you were a dick before you're just a bigger dick on, if you were calm before you're calm on. A short fused idiot jumping on gear, is going to have a shorter fuse and be a bigger idiot on so it can exacerbate a problem but they don't in an overwhelming majority of cases create the problem. They're a nice scapegoat, idiot goes off, it's the steroids, so they get to take no accountability for their actions.
Sorry boys, I don't agree with you. Is that child maimed for life? Is he maimed so that he can't get up from that beating and go about doing whatever he does? No. You guys say that the child can't remember. You are crazy. That child will no longer do whatever AP hit him for. The kids running wild in Ferguson were never disciplined. That's what you raise when there is no one to discipline. Get the state out of our lives. Discipline is a parental function. Not the state's. And the state (nor any of you, nor the NFL) should have anything to say about it unless there is permanent physical harm. Sorry, but that litmus test doesn't stand here.
A kid can go on with his day if you give him a black eye too, and that'll recover as well, not maimed, so all fair play? I don't think you're getting a shit ton of people disagreeing with discipline when the occasion calls for it, but as the adult you're supposed to be able to have the knowledge and restraint to know how much discipline is required. If you're hitting your kid in the nuts and bloodying him up and he's 4, it's more than is needed to make your point, even if he can walk away from it.
