boxmuncher-thanks
capsmaster: thanks. you made me laugh because I am over 60% in the last 12 months. however, that is only for my one unit plays (normal for me). as soon as I bet more than one unit, I am slightly less than 50%. lucky for me, my bigger plays are few and far between. I don't count dog baseball moneylines as I track those on a unit basis separately. i'm thinking of switching to a system like ATX, but this is working for me now so I am hesitant. and I have found the hard way that money mgmt is the key in both this type of investment and in the financial markets. thanks for the props.
2-1 tonight as the denver under does not come in. suspected this might happen but didn't want to upset the gambling gods by betting the over in the hopes that they will continue to curse the fourth quarter in denver.
one more play to go. record stands at 63-36. or 63.63%
final play for shits and giggles (and this definitely isn't in the spirt of the challenge and is a horrible play so don't anybody coattail it.) we'll call it a reverse dell dude suicide parlay because i don't think it is your typical square parlay. NOTE: parlays like this are bad, stupid plays. only play parlays unless they are correlated events OR you are playing at DickyW's, SLIM's, Judge Wapner's, or dimplayersonly books, because we like them and want to stay prosperous by taking your money on dumb plays like this.
I'm trying to juice my winning percentage and RPM pointed out this strategy. for one unit:
Three team parlay: NBA, Utah-7 game/CBB, Fordham ML +310, CBB, USC ML +400.
Pays 38.13 units and would put me just over 100% according to the rules of the contest.
Now there is no way this will ever come in, but you never know. Jazz at home are tough and hate the Sonics. Fordham play is more a play against St. Bonnie. USC always plays Az tough at home and it is one of the few times the students actually come out. USC play is the weakest, in my opinion. but USC just had a major loss in the sophmore pt guard whom the team liked snapping his ankle in practice, and sometimes that can pull a team together, plus bibby is threatening on playing the WALk-ON kid at point. read between the lines: Craven kid has to play at the level of his game or the walk-on will play. I have seen the USC walk-on's. I admire them. but nobody, including the walk-on, wants this kid to play against Az. lions vs. christian. sometimes bibby's pysch games work, sometimes they don't we shall see.
