CBB: Idaho St. -3 1/2 second half

don't like betting a larger line than the opener in most cases, but fullerton is not a great road team and i don't think they will have the heart to come back tonight.

let's review

push NBA: San Antonio -8 lucky to get the push here, but the late # will get you every time in the NBA. learned that from reading an old sickgambler post. got to get the early number or don't bet it. feel bad for ivan who got the early number on the wrong side and will no longer be sharing with us in the NBA forum.

W CBB: Kentucky -2 vandy is still vandy after all
W CBB: Xavier -16
W NBA: NY -1 second half
W CBB: Ky/Vandy under 142 game

L NBA: Phx/SA under 90 second half. loser in regulation, double loser in OT.
L CBB: Idaho St. -3 1/2 second half up by 20! in the second half and they let the fullerton boys come all the way back to only lose by two possesions. need to listen to winky more and only bet ON CSUF and not against them.

takes me to 4-2-1 for the night OR 61-35. 63.5% would have won the challenge even if my 4 pushes had remained as part of the 100 picks. but we agreed to throw them out and one of us has to stay true to our word

I won the challenge even though ff isn't around anymore. 4 plays left to either increase or lower my winning percentage. the final play will be a denver 2nd half under as that is how I started.

Nice job my friend. It could have gone either way on this one as you know as well as I do that over 100 plays anything could happen and hitting 60% over a lifetime is almost impossible. What worries me is that a lot of people don't know that you don't need a 60% winning percentage to make a good amount of money. A 55% will lead to tremendous amounts of wealth. I even have a few systems that a 33% winning percentage betting straight bets will still make you a good amount of money. People the single biggest reason gamblers lose in this game is not knowing proper money management and it will continue to be the biggest problem for gamblers for the rest of time becuase they spend too much time trying to find winners and not doing the proper research on money managment. But again I give you props for winning the ff challenge.

boxmuncher-thanks

capsmaster: thanks. you made me laugh because I am over 60% in the last 12 months. however, that is only for my one unit plays (normal for me). as soon as I bet more than one unit, I am slightly less than 50%. lucky for me, my bigger plays are few and far between. I don't count dog baseball moneylines as I track those on a unit basis separately. i'm thinking of switching to a system like ATX, but this is working for me now so I am hesitant. and I have found the hard way that money mgmt is the key in both this type of investment and in the financial markets. thanks for the props.

2-1 tonight as the denver under does not come in. suspected this might happen but didn't want to upset the gambling gods by betting the over in the hopes that they will continue to curse the fourth quarter in denver.

one more play to go. record stands at 63-36. or 63.63%

final play for shits and giggles (and this definitely isn't in the spirt of the challenge and is a horrible play so don't anybody coattail it.) we'll call it a reverse dell dude suicide parlay because i don't think it is your typical square parlay. NOTE: parlays like this are bad, stupid plays. only play parlays unless they are correlated events OR you are playing at DickyW's, SLIM's, Judge Wapner's, or dimplayersonly books, because we like them and want to stay prosperous by taking your money on dumb plays like this.

I'm trying to juice my winning percentage and RPM pointed out this strategy. for one unit:

Three team parlay: NBA, Utah-7 game/CBB, Fordham ML +310, CBB, USC ML +400.

Pays 38.13 units and would put me just over 100% according to the rules of the contest.

Now there is no way this will ever come in, but you never know. Jazz at home are tough and hate the Sonics. Fordham play is more a play against St. Bonnie. USC always plays Az tough at home and it is one of the few times the students actually come out. USC play is the weakest, in my opinion. but USC just had a major loss in the sophmore pt guard whom the team liked snapping his ankle in practice, and sometimes that can pull a team together, plus bibby is threatening on playing the WALk-ON kid at point. read between the lines: Craven kid has to play at the level of his game or the walk-on will play. I have seen the USC walk-on's. I admire them. but nobody, including the walk-on, wants this kid to play against Az. lions vs. christian. sometimes bibby's pysch games work, sometimes they don't we shall see.

it's over as the longshot doesn't come in. thanks to all who endured this.

rattler: you never responded in the other post, so I'm going to assume you are not interested, unless I hear differently.

FINAL RECORD 63-37 or 63%.

We landed a huge contract at work, so I'm not going to be able to keep up with everything on a regular bases. I hope you don't mind. I really liked the idea of the winner giving the proceeds to charity, but I just can't follow through with this right now. Maybe we can set something up down the road.
All the best AC, and continued success.
