FWIW, Im looking at .0015 (maybe a little higher) for an entry point and trade. Just my two cents. And that's from a chart perspective, anything can happen with news : )

Next news I'm expecting is the Berlin permit being submitted. I really doubt that will happen for a few more weeks.

.0015 is very possible.

Big news hitting the papers tomorrow.

A friend of mine from Berlin just emailed me this. It will be in tomorrows Berlin paper.

BERLIN — Laidlaw Berlin Biopower reported it has been notified
that the Coos transmission grid can handle the power that would
be produced by its proposed 66 megawatt biomass plant with
minimal upgrade to the system.Laidlaw yesterday said ISON.
E., the independent not-forprofit organization that manages
New England’s electric transmission system, conducted an ‘Interconnection Feasibility Study’ to determine if there is existing adequate interconnection capacity onthe grid for the proposed Berlin biomass plant. The study said the plant could
connect to the system with minimal upgrades, estimated to cost
less than $1 million. In determining there is adequate capacity, the study considered all existing generation facilities as well as projects under development and already in the ISO-NE queue including the proposed GraniteReliable Power wind farm in Phillips Brook and Clean Power Development’s plans for a biomass plant in Berlin. Laidlaw offi cials said the confi r-mation is a big step forward for the Berlin plant. “We are extremely pleased with the results of the study as it confi rms our long-standing position that there is suffi cient capacity on the system for
multiple renewable energy projects,” said Laidlaw President and CEO Michael Bartoszek.Laidlaw offi cials had no update on when they plan to fi le their application with the state Site Evaluation Committee for a certifi cate to construct and operate the biomass plant. Originally the company said they hoped to
fi le the application by late summer. ISO-N.E. offi cials could not be reached for comment yesterday afternoon.

Hate to say I told you so, but I told you so...

This story is scheduled to be released on the news wire at 7am, but it appears the Berlin Daily Sun released its copy on their web site at midnight. So in the interest of full disclosure I'm putting the story up here pending the release of the news release in the morning.

In a nutshell, these results are so awesome they even exceeded our expectations.

Laidlaw’s Berlin Biomass Energy Project Receives Favorable Results

NEW YORK—(Business Wire)—December 4, 2009, Laidlaw Berlin BioPower, LLC announced today that it has received confirmation of existing adequate interconnection capacity on the local transmission system. The confirmation was provided by ISO – New England, the entity charged with oversight of the local power grid, who conducted an independent “Interconnection Feasibility Study”. With this important development, Laidlaw’s 66 megawatt biomass-energy facility took another important step forward.

Results indicate that Laidlaw’s Berlin BioPower facility will be able to connect to the transmission system with minimal upgrades estimated to cost less than $1 million. The interconnection study took into account all existing facilities as well as projects currently under development and already in the ISO-New England queue.

Laidlaw President and CEO Michael Bartoszek was quoted stating “We are extremely pleased with the results of the study as it confirms our long-standing position that there is sufficient capacity on the system for multiple renewable energy projects.”

MBB the CEO made a post on the I HUB board lastnight to clear a few things up.

I don't normally waste my time on these boards, but a shareholder brought this post to my attention and I feel it deserves a response because it is a complete and absolute lie. I doubt you and I have ever spoken and I certainly would never say any such thing.

I never make any statement whatsoever that I do not believe to be true and correct. Sometimes we change our plans because we subsequently believe another avenue will provide better results for the company and these other avenues cannot always be shared publicly. Sometimes, but not often, we simply don't succeed in an endeavor. That doesn't make the original statement untrue at the time it was made or make for bad faith. In the case of the uplisting, it is the former. We have been pursuing a number of alternate avenues that we feel may be better for the company. Indeed, there are shareholders who contribute to this board who are aware of at least some of these plans due to their connection to them. We also completed the audit with Gruber & Co as stated.

As I have stated many times, I don't run this company for the benefit of short-term traders. This is a marathon, not a sprint. You either give management the time (and "time" in this instance doesn't mean days or weeks or even months) to execute or your move on. You either have confidence in management or you don't. If you don't or if you don't have the risk tolerance or patience to invest in a company like ours for the long haul, or if you require a lot of hand-holding in the form of constant updates, then please move on to another investment.

In the last 12 months alone we have closed the Berlin acquisition and major related financing. We have completed wood and interconnection studies. We have basically completed all of our permit application. We have negotiated and nearly completed a number a material contracts to support the project. We have undertaken a successful public relations campaign that helped support a pro-Laidlaw administration being voted into office in the City of Berlin. Additionally, we have negotiated and completed a joint venture and related major capital investment and have added two new projects to our development portfolio, along with numerous other opportunities in various stages of due dilligence. Oh, and then there's the the nearly 10x increase in our shares over the last couple of months.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion if you feel the foregoing does not constitute good progress for a company like ours over the past year, however, if that is the case then I fear you would be better suited to investing your money elsewhere.

Many thanks to all of our long-term shareholders and happy holidays to all.

Mike

Quote from the I Hub board.

o/s shares remain the same

One poster on the board who is a local NIMBY and is against Laidlaw said today that Laidlaw is ready to turn in their application by Christmas or by the end of the year.

Lets hope that is true.

Almost hit my buy order today, bummer. Maybe tomorrow, otherwise I might just up my bid to .018, this will likely rally back from these levels IMO. Lots of folks on i-hub show this stock love, dont really see what everyone else sees, but sometimes I'm blind because I think things are too obvious and I must be wrong ... lets see what tomorrow brings.

Good luck. I am still thinking about buying some more. I love the long shares I have but thinking about buying some trading shares for the ride up too.

I still think this is a real company that will provide revenue generating biomass facilities.

I agree, it's important to keep a core position, but also have trading shares so you can flip and re-buy. Sometimes I trade the same stock 4-5 times a day if it's volatile. especially with the sub-pennies.

Hang in there, i think it's gonna rebound here soon.

The I HUB board has a poster claiming to be Bartoszek, the CEO of Laidlaw. I think it is him since he posts on twitter and has a blog too. He was his comment last night about diluting shares.

No, we have not issued any shares recently and the last shares we issued quite some time ago were restricted. The rules have changed for Rule 504 offerings making it very difficult to issue any shares that are "free trading"...at least that is what our legal cousil has told us. I can't speak for what other companies may do and their compliance (or lack thereof) with state and Federal securities regs.

Laidlaw Berlin BioPower, LLC ("Laidlaw") announced today that it has filed its all-inclusive permit application with the New Hampshire Site Evaluation Committee seeking the requisite approvals to construct and operate a nominal 70 megawatt biomass-energy facility to be located at the former Fraser Papers pulp mill in Berlin, NH. Laidlaw completed the acquisition of the site last December with a group of private equity investors and since that time has been preparing its permit filing and negotiating the other material contracts for the project, including a long-term power purchase agreement. With the completion of this significant milestone, the Laidlaw project has taken a major step forward
The permitting process before the New Hampshire Site Evaluation Committee is expected to take approximately nine months, based on the expedited review process that the State of New Hampshire affords to renewable energy facilities. The NHSEC process is the primary mechanism for obtaining the approvals necessary to construct and operate the facility.
Laidlaw President and CEO Michael Bartoszek was quoted stating "We are confident that we have a strong application worthy of this important project and we look forward to working collaboratively with the Site Evaluation Committee, as well as state and local representatives throughout the review process. We are convinced that this project will be a source of pride for the State of New Hampshire and the City of Berlin, and we appreciate and will continue to build on the strong support we have received from the citizens of Berlin and Mayor-elect Paul Grenier."

The permit application is now available online. Here is a link.

http://www.nhsec.nh.gov/2009-02/index.htm

The application is 977 pages long and I read most of it. I am really impressed with it and don't see how it doesn't get approved.

Next two steps are announcing the power purchase agreement and the SEC approval of the application in 30 days.

Should be some news on the Mass. facilities too.

Good reading on the I Hub board.

Thanks for the update. My purchase on Monday will bring me to 1,000,000 shares.

I find that I-hub board unreadable because of the horrendous format.

Glad to hear you are adding shares. I wish I had 40 million shares right now as I think good things are really starting to happen. This is really the first official public documents on Laidlaw. The Berlin biomass facility alone will bring us huge money when it is up and running. (2013)

The format is tough on I-hub but the information is very valuable.
