CFB - (125) SOUTH CAROLINA at (126) MISSISSIPPI STATE 12:20 EDT SEC Network
South Carolina might have finally found their quarterback in Conner Shaw, but the Gamecocks are not a sure fire winner just yet on the road. South Carolina has fallen from -5.5 to -3.5 points as Mississippi State is capable of winning. The Bulldogs are 7-2 ATS before a bye week, yet has scored 16 total points in a pair of SEC games, while South Carolina has permitted just 22 points in their last three outings.
CFB - (141) BYU at (142) OREGON STATE 4:00 EDT FCSP/KBYU
BYU does not impress anyone, with a mediocre offense and lack of team speed. The Cougars have been flipped for -1.5 to +1.5-point underdogs. Oregon State finally won their first game of the year in defeating Arizona 27-17 as two-point home underdogs. You could make the case the Beavers have been so dreadful to that point that Arizona felt they had to fire there coach because of it. An exceptional reason for backing Oregon State is 31-12 ATS in weeks 5-9 under coach Mike Riley.
CFB - (157) LOUISVILLE vs. (158) CINCINNATI 12:00 EDT GamePlan
This Big East matchup will be played at the home of Bengals, which must be giving the University of Cincinnati super powers as the Bearcats have exploded from -13.5 to -17. It doesn’t hurt Louisville is 2-11 ATS off a road cover were the team lost as an underdog.
CFB - (161) UTEP at (162) TULANE 3:30 EDT FCSC
This has to be a wise guy move since this would not be on the common weekend football bettor’s radar. Tulane was sent out as +1.5-point underdogs and have returned to shore (they are close to the Gulf) as -1.5-point faves. It’s not easy to find any reason for either team to be favored other than the fact the Green Wave is 4-0 ATS the last four meetings.
CFB - (169) CENTRAL FLORIDA at (170) SMU 3:30 EDT FSN
SMU should have real motivation, having lost to Central Florida 17-7 in the C-USA title game last December. The Mustangs improved defense (297 yards allowed vs. opponents gaining 369 YPG) is part of the reasoning for the Ponies moving from -1.5 to -3.5. Nonetheless, the UFC is 8-2 and 9-1 ATS on the conference road.
CFB - (175) GEORGIA at (176) VANDERBILT 7:00 EDT GamePlan
Vanderbilt’s defense is much improved this season, however the offense has scored three points exactly in a pair of SEC contests and the Commodores have totaled 24 points versus Georgia in the past three meetings. Philly is 13-6 and 12-6-1 ATS at Washington, but is this team smart enough to win? One aspect to consider is Mike Shanahan coached teams are 11-2 ATS with two weeks to prepare.
NFL - (209) CAROLINA at (210) ATLANTA 1:00 EDT FOX
A combination of the Cam Newton factor and Atlanta’s poor play has the Falcons sinking from -6 to -4. Newton has Carolina 4-1 ATS this season and the Panthers are 6-0 ATS after a playing a game where 50 total points or more were scored. Nonetheless, Atlanta is 12-4 and 10-5-1 ATS when Carolina visits.
NFL - (211) INDIANAPOLIS at (212) CINCINNATI 1:00 EDT CBS Nothing shouts points like an Andy Dalton vs. Curtis Painter matchup and this AFC contest has ballooned to 40.5 points from opening 38. The Colts defense is back to pre-Peyton Manning days in conceding 27.2 points a game vs. opponents averaging 19.4. It is interesting to learn Cincinnati has the top-ranked defense in yards allowed yet is 4-1 OVER, despite ranking just 17th in points scored at 22.0 per contest.
NFL - (213) BUFFALO at (214) N.Y. GIANTS 1:00 EDT CBS
Buffalo has become a public darling in the regard there is no total they can’t surpass with their potent offense and middling defense.
