JOH, is it possible to release picks a tad bit earlier? some people want to follow along and watch their competition as well as their own picks

others might actually fade or follow on a more regular basis

can we set a time? maybe 6 or 7 or 8 EST?

I'm not trying to make your job more difficult, you do so much for this forum, but I'm trying to improve the viewing / participation experience

If making any changes is more work or creates other problems, I have no issue with you continuing to do what you're doing

thanks for everything

PS: if this issue has already been addressed, I'm sorry

Personally, I don't really care. I thought having them hidden was your guys preference. If the majority want the sheet open, we can leave it open.

Since this is a contest i think hidden makes the most sense. What if you're even in units with a guy and his picks are posted for the last day..... If you're smart you could use that to your advantage.

I vote hidden for sure.

I think keeping it hidden is fine maybe keep it locked til the deadline of the start of the first set of night games and before the first games on weekends? If not the way it is now is fine. Would just need to set the deadline before revealed and everyone on the same page

Im all for seeing what people pick after deadline. Most of the time I've forgotten what i played anyway.

Another option would be to require everyone to post an entry every day. The entry could say "no picks" if that's their intention but they could not change their mind after that post. When I see everyone has posted, I could release the plays. Like tonight, James Hat is the lone no-show. If he just posted "no picks", I could open.

or maybe keep it open until Sunday, same reasoning they seem to use in soccer, all the games start at the same time on the last day of group play to try and minimize

I vote open over closed, I'm not concerned about stealing plays

I need more feedback

I m for opening the plays earlier. I put my plays in early because I never know if I will be home in time to play. Never thought about scoping opponent's plays but this is my first contest and I may be naïve. The last 2 nights of the week may need to be tighter but I do like knowing my standing before I crash for the night. Tiger-White Sox rain delay keeping me up tonight.

Whatever you decide is cool with me but my preference is to open the plays at an earlier time.

JOH, like your idea of releasing once everyone is in or passing for that day. If not then no preference as to open or closed.

I would like to keep the plays hidden, until last game of the day starts.

This would obviously work best. But... until all entries respond for the day, being a contest (and to avoid the inevitable bitching and accusing later) I think you have to keep hidden otherwise.

I think the options are .... Either you keep it open during the week, and then make them hidden for the weekend....

or .... Keep it the way it is ....

If you want them released Earlier .... Then you would have to Set a Time Deadline which is Earlier then the Late Games.
Meaning ALL Picks Must be in By 9:00PM Eastern
Which I don't think anyone wants... because if you like the late games that start at 10PM+, you lose a 50+ minute window

I think closing them for the weekend makes sense

then nobody has to me notified about anything, no new deadlines, no mistakes on the part of participants

and when somebody gets desperate and might want to take advantage of what is opponent in posting, the picks are locked
