I believe most statisticians would agree that the records we rely on are insignificant based on the small sample sizes.

for those following the zen plays I think pops may have had a copy paste mishap...the plays today are both zen 5 with clev and tex un's

Pops, looking at the pdws am I too far behind to ask where the zen category is or what columns are used to make zen 1,2 and so forth?

it's like the tp's we would do in cbb but based on zen (below) and a combinations of the past 30 days running avg, mean and meadian home and away scoring by each pitcher and teams

true, i sure did, added one extra line of blank space b4 the data. everyone can just copy past the data one line up and all should be fine. but oil is correct on both of those vs what's in the pdws now

tks

guess it all depends on what your doing. they have 100's of years worth of weather data and they still can get it right for the next day

just dont go too low in looking for key areas

Was referring to our results for instance in the P & Ms for totals. Can't put a lot of faith in whether an outcome is 4-1 or 1-4. And it's hard to accumulate enough data to be relevant when you don't carry data over from year to year.

However, this reinforces your advice to not focus on any one set of data, but look at the total picture.

pops, thanks for your clarifications on the M and P.

Also, is Estabrook approaching Waldo status?

pops H got KO'd in after the first in tonite's game- believe hoye did most of it

thanks for posting, had no clue this happened. had the under last night and thought it was a loss when i saw 4-3 in the 4th. found this today online

But Maholm, who zipped 1-2-3 through the first, waited out a 25-minute delay after home plate umpire John Hirschbeck was struck in the mask by a warmup pitch and had to leave because of concussion-like symptoms. Gregg Zaun, the Brewers' catcher, failed to catch that Narveson warmup and said later, "I feel just terrible about it."

i know h has had neck problems over the last few years and missed significant time because of it. hope he gets better soon. h and e are the only 2 umps i use for unders

friday may 21st

obama loves IL, so today you got some il action

todays pdws and updated mlb master and sharing data and info below.

nice job on runge un 9 yesterday in bos and you also won the under on Pitt with hirsh even after being KOed. guess he'll be on IR again for the rest of the year. just like everyone else, need that free money for doing nothing

you have 3 waldo's in play today (poss 4) so keep an eye on your sports options ticker

zen split but one more showed up after the pitching change in laa zen 1 over

only one pitcher w/o any home starting record mets

all IL stats from last year are in 2009 master but make sure filter arrows are set properly

checking out of here today and heading for the promise land. wynn cabanas are nice but nothing like being home

going for bf. i check for any old business or new q&a when i get back b4 i head out

M=Mo runs that the home and away era's of the starting pitchers

eg. combined era are 40.00 and the o/u is 8 so you would be mo potential runs based on the era's vs the Opening o/u number so M1 thru 6

your not a moron, just my lettering wanted to use m and L but though many would call it lost so i just chose those letters. could be a and b etc
P=Positive combined ear's home and away of the starting pitchers

eg. combined era of 1.50 and o/u of 11 vs teh opening o/u number so P1 thru 6 (and you have what the values are in those ranges in the post earlier)

Just to be sure I'm interpreting these correctly, on yesterday's games I showed the SD/LAD and KC/CLE games as M3. Based on the data so far, should the plays have been over or under?

Man JJ don't know why you have such a hard time with this.

They were both unders plays if your one bucket contained an M3. One went over one under so you lost the juice
