My guess is that nobody asked any questions because Pops said to keep it quiet.

you got any data to back that up? I'd like to know 17-4

Pops is Cris the open/close? Thought i read that somewhere along the line. I know you like to get on both sides so maybe you dont mind my sayin that i'm looking the other way on -.5 and sometimes an out will get there even if Cris doesnt

In keeping units the same in baseball, suppose you werent looking to scalp, would you always keep the risk unit the same, or place them to get a unit the same?? Thanks Pops

Another thing i'd like to track is these games by themselves like St. Louis At Philadelphia being the only afternoon game on the board. Guess i should be able to get Sunday night results from the data already provided.

scalping is a whole diff ball game you try to even out the to win bets regardless of the amounts

on o/u or side that i hold it's always the same amount. dont believe in the units bull shit. if it fits bet it, if not say off. no way anyone is going to tell me a million unit play is better than a 1. ask shrink about it if you can wake him up

Here's how you do it, I believe, converting odds to decimal points. I can whip up a better excel spreadsheet tonight when I have more time.

(DOG + 1)/(FAVE + 1) x FAVE = amount to bet on fave per $1 bet on dog.

So for, example given with BOS -110 and NYY +120, it would look like:

(1.2 + 1) x 1.1 = $1.152
(1.1 + 1)

If you risked $100 on BOS at -110, you'd want to risk $86.78 ($100 divided by $1.152) on NY at +120.

A simple question for the excel guys. I thought I knew how to do this, but apparently not:

If you have a column with a total and the payout odds (for the over), how could you split that into two columns? In other words, each cell in the column has something like "8.5 -102" and I want there to be 2 separate columns, one for "8.5" and then one right next to it with "-102".

i know it can be done i've done it a couple of times but not all that often. just use the help in excel, i believe that's the way i did it a while back

If you have Excel 2007 it is called "Text to Columns". It is on the Data menu.

CONSECUTIVE GAMES

Four seems to be the honey hole both home and away. Is there anything that could make 4 something magical.

in preseason football when teams break camp theyre good go against when going on the road, last thing they want to do is play a meaningless game after bunking with the boys for so long, they go home and drill the wife

maybe the 4th game being just arrived in a new city, and just got to town so that citys girlfriend has to be gotten in touch with

maybe for the 4th game at home, the wife is finally giving you a little peace after she's been getting her piece and things settling down after you got back to town 4 days ago.

Maybe a dumb question but new to this thread, What does the acronym PDWS stand for? Was going through the thread to see if it was mentioned without the abbreviations and can't seem to find it. I'm guessing the P stands for pitchers and W for walks or whip? but cant figure out the rest. Thanks

pitch data work sheet or are you talking about the cat numbers in the spreadsheet it self. there are a couple of post on here that list everything that in it as well as the master that details every col

They did not do so hot yesterday. 2 big favorites and a dog went down in smoke. They were 2-3 but one would have lost 3.1 units unless you played the run line.

Does anyone hava any info about establishing a -1 run line. I have seen the formula but in 2 different versions and neither makes complete sense. It does make some sense when the -1.5 run line is positive but when a huge favorite as in Minn yesterday there seems to be something missing.

If anyone can show what a -1 run line is for say teams -180 and more it would be a piece of cake. Per what I read Pinny had a -1 run line but not very accessible because of the US trade embargo for gambling.
