I know more than you on this topic and countless others.

You do not own a firearm
You do not know the relevant laws regarding the manufacture, distribution, or sale of firearms.

In other words, you know nothing about the topic. Your "opinion" on the topic carries as much weight as your average 9th grader's.

Keep flailing.

Note: this idiot actually said that the number of violent crimes & homicides by firearm in a discussion of gun control constitutes "meaningless statistics" (Note they are so "meaningless the DOJ spent more than a year gathering them)

There you have it folks.

You're not an idiot or anything. Really, you're not.

My Goodness...you fail at every turn.

What you posted means absolutely zero to the discussion of gun control.....

You just keep swinging and missing. What does not owning a firearm have to do with the topic of gun control? Zero, nothing. You get dumber with every post.....seriously, go play with russ....he gets you.

Since "the UK" isn't America, and we actually have examples of what has happened in cities in America where guns are banned, this comment doesn't respond to what was said.

Can you provide a link? I'm not familiar. Would like to read up on it a bit.

Wouldn't you like to know how it worked out in DC and Chicago?

Anyway: The United Kingdom is the violent crime capital of Europe and has one of the highest rates of violence in the world, worse even than America, according to new research

Additionally, after Australia (effectively) banned firearms, violent crime, including rape, went up by double digit %

So when someone kicks in your door and rapes your wife, I'm sure it will be great consolation that there was no school shooting that day.

Right?

I've been married for nearly 16 years Acebb and nobody has kicked in my door yet. I guess it's possibly because I live in a neighborhood where it's unlikely to occur.

I've survived 39 years without a gun. I don't really see a need to own one now. Maybe my opinion would change given a different circumstance but I don't have a need for one.

And just because I don't own one, doesn't mean I don't know how to use one. I'm pretty sure I'm more knowledgeable and trained than the normal guy.

i didn't say anything about roving gangs and i dunno or care about the UK i live in america .1st my point is that criminals will get guns and 2nd we are all missing the point of this thread good lord

You're missing the point. In a society where guns are banned, criminals are not roving the countryside raping and murdering innocent families. Why would you assume if guns were banned in the U.S., it would happen here?

And also Acebb, just wanted you to know although I agree with Vit on this topic, I don't get passionate like he does. I understand there are two sides to the discussion and I respect your opinion. Not going to take it personal or argue over it. Not my intent.

and i never said there would be roving gangs I'm simply stating that the criminals will still get guns the biggest fear a person robbing someone at gunpoint has is that the other person has a gun

I would have been throwing chairs and desks at that kid. You could even use a Fire extinguisher.

Moving forward from this tragic event what can lawmakers do ,that would try and eliminate these mass mall, movie, school killings!!!! I am truly getting sick of this shit. I know this would cost a shit load of money, but every school should have metal detectors , finger or retinal scans to enter building, armed security, make entering a school like airports, just like 911 this should change the way kids enter school,( i realize this kid could of did this in parking lot, but he gets more satisfaction inside school i believe) Video games 18 and over only, Parents or legal guardians go to jail too with killer, - seems like total disconnect with kids and parents these days.

And I believe you've made my point for me.

In Europe, the criminals know the non-criminals don't have guns yet you don't see huge amounts of criminals with guns robbing, raping or murdering non-criminals. You just don't see it. Of course you have the standard amount of crime that does occur but not by gun.

So, if it doesn't happen there, why would it happen here?

Please, don't take this personal. It's not personal.

I respect gun owners but I also know in America, we have a problem with gun violence. To deny that is asinine (not saying you're doing that).

So, you make a strict gun law that says if you obtain them illegally, it's mandatory minimum of 25 years. That's it. The end.

There is an obvious gun problem in this country. Those who can't see it just don't wanna see it.

Sad story. The point is the government has let all Americans down. Society has let all Americans down. Too much liberalism (not a political debate or slam) in how society functions today is way out of control. The media and what kids are exposed to today is a sad sad story. This country will crash and burn before it changes its course......or maybe the whole world for that matter.

On the gun haters......I bought two new guns today. Two of the most beautiful shotguns you have ever seen with all the detailed engravings. Weatherby Athena and Beretta Silver Pigeon......Two true works on art.

I'm not a gun hater. Far from it. Don't care really what you guys own.

Gun violence in America is out of control. There is a problem to which I don't have a solution. If two classrooms full of kindergartners getting murdered in cold blood in their classroom isn't a wake up call for this country...we are out of luck.

But, no worries. We'll just continue to read about murders in our schools each school year. Business as usual.

Well sure there is but the rights of the gun owner will always trump the safety of all Americans. It's just the way it is.
