This guy evidently never served abroad or in combat, he was stationed in New Mexico, and he was dishonorably discharged for domestic assault. I also don't believe it's Air Force personnel that suffer from the mental illnesses many others do.

The worst mass killings recently are either related to fundamental Muslim Terrorism or some sort of mental illness.

Orlando, San Bernadino, NYC last week, 9/11 were all Muslim Terrorism

The two church shootings, Newton CT, VA tech, LV, the CO school and theater shootings were all mentally deranged psychopaths.

What shooting was blamed on PTSD? maybe OR, I don't recall

I would also point out no generation experienced war more so than the greatest generation did in WWII, and these mass murders weren't a problem for them

Having said all that, I concur military members need our support for many reasons, I just don't see PTSD as being the reason for these senseless attacks

I promise you I can name way more mass killings done by ex military then you can by muslims. Lets start with Timothy Mcveigh. As far as PTSD, i never said that is why they did the killings. I have no idea why mass killings are done at such a high rate by people that used to be in the military. Maybe its something as dumb as guys that enlist are more generally guys that like guns and violence. I have no idea. I'm just saying that when you see a mass killing there is a good chance that it was done by someone that served. One study I read said that roughly 33% of mass shootings since 1984 were carried out by guys that served. Seeing how about 1% of the public is in the military at any given time that seems awfully high to me.

I agree with the whole ex military men killing people. But, lets just simplify it.....Forget all the killings by muslims and just take the 3000 killed on 911. I don 't think you will be able to get half way there in the past 30 years lets say.

no you can't, the numbers just aren't there

I thought you clearly implied PTSD when you said we need to treat them, maybe that's a misread on my part

That is probably correct. I have no idea of total numbers of dead but I assume you are right. My only point was that anytime you see on the news that a mass killing happened the likelihood of it being done by a military guy is pretty high and i've never heard any person or news station say that

From post 104, seems like an awful lot of Muslim names, although more are simply sickos or spurned individuals

Quite a few Asian names as well

9/11 nor the OKC bombings are listed, 9/11 obviously tops the charts for deaths and it's not very close

c'mon man, the vast majority are not

and even though yesterday's asshole served, he served jail time for beating up his wife, was dishonorably discharged and also arrested for abusing animals

he served as some sort of analyst in New Mexico, his military experience was not something that would set off any triggers

and if you're actually arguing that people who signed up for the military are simply more prone to killing people, I'm going to disagree with you even more. At least blaming it on PTSD would give your argument some credibility

Their are Muslims on the list that committed crimes while serving, but they claimed to be serving Allah

I see PTSD sure thrown around a lot like it's just common place.

This guy was young and had served less than four years. He most likely did not deploy and if he did, he most likely went to a location with no combat action.

Don't just assume people that served all have PTSD. It's a mistake.

Quick-thinking: Stephen Willeford, 55, (left) and Johnnie Langendorff (right) have been praised as heroes after they were able to stop Texas gunman Devin Kelley's rampage.
