Statutory rape is such a bogus and debatable crime. Why else do you think they have to revise the simple name of it and use the word "statutory". The really, really fucked up thing about this so called statutory rape shit is the sheer lack of evidence needed to convict someone of it is in such contrast of those poor females (underage or legal) who get violently or date raped. So if an underage girl said she had consensual sex with an adult, he goes to jail with no DNA needed, no prosecution testimony required, no legitimate excuse like she said she was 18 or I met her at an 18 and over function. Whereas if the same girl said she was rape-raped non-consensual then in order to convict they must perform a rape kit on the girl, find DNA evidence and proof of forced entry, make her take the stand and testify about her entire sex life and then live a life of shame, therapy and support groups as being a victim of an embarrassing and violent crime.
The sports equivalency to statutory rape is the one and done college basketball rule before going to the pros and the 3 years removed from high school shit before entering the NFL draft. The colleges want to make some money first even though you are ready to go pro now and fathers aren't ready to admit their daughters are a little fast and a good time and want to ignore their innocence lost.

I am a firm believer in No means No. If the bitch says yes then it is on. If she is under the age of 18 and her parents are aware and cool with the relationship then that spells consent. No court of law would convict a person under those circumstances.
