Republican Mitch McConell was crowned Senate majority leader tonight after winning an historic seven Senate seats from the Democrats. Mr McConnell celebrated his own victory in Kentucky with his wife Elaine Chao (left) at the start of a night which saw the Democrats lost control of the Upper House. The Republicans are guaranteed a majority of 52. Mr McConnell said he wanted to 'turn this country around' and said it was time for the government to change - although he held out an olive branch to President Obama, saying that a two-party system should not mean constant conflict. Tonight's results saw a total of seven seats change hands with the Republicans seizing West Virginia, where Shelley moore Capito (center) won. The other victors for the GOP were: Top row left to right: Tom Cotton, Arkanas; Steve Daines, Montana; Kay Hagan, North Carolina; bottom row left to right: Cory Gardner, Colorado; Joni Ernst, Iwoa; and Mike Rounds, South Dakota. The victory leaves President Obama a lame duck and suggests the Republicans have a strong springboard for the 2016 presidential election.

come on Hogan!

Hogan wins MD Governor going away. Nate Silver had Brown (O'Malley's bitch) winning by 9 points and gave him a 94% chance to win. 6% for Logan.... so your telling me there's a chance. Big move by my blue ass state.

Well JD we have 3 YES or NO votes here in Nevada.

1. Amend the Nevada constitution to appoint a 3 judge Court of Appeals. Reason being the Supreme Court in Nevada is backlogged. Of course I voted NO. If the Supreme Court actually worked more than 6 months out of the year it wouldn’t have a backlog.

2. Amend the Nevada constitution to remove the cap on taxation of mines, mining claims and minerals. Of course I voted NO. More taxes? I don’t think so.

And finally the whopper of them all…

3. A 2% tax on gross revenue for businesses over a 1 million to fund schools. Of course I voted NO. Can you believe these dick wads, they want to tax not the profit but the gross. If a business has a bad year and doesn’t show a profit they might as well just close their doors.

The unmitigated gall of some people.

Results...

1. Yes 54% No 46%

2. Yes 49.9 No 50.1%

3. Yes 21% No 79%
Sanity Prevails!
