no...we can do whatever we want, for as long as we want, with no repercussions. We are america dammit!

USA...USA...USA!

You are too dumb to even remotely understand how our monetary system works. There's a reason smart people think differently than you.

I thnk his intentions are all good but the carrying out process has been a disaster in many cases.

Vitterd, you seem like a smart enough fella and you're more reasonable than your little brother amphibian (in my limited experience here) but your last sentence which I quoted reminds me of something the late, great Milton Friedman once said:

the great mistake many liberals make is to judge policies or programs by their stated intentions...rather than by their results

Which part clownie? The screaming "yes we can" over and over like a brainwashed retard?

lol
lmao
rotflmao
etc

There's no single part I can point to. Just your overall body of work is embarrassing. But there is a reason you are a libertarian.

There may be some truth in that comment by Milton Friedman....however, i dont think that means we do away with well intentioned programs because sometimes the results arent what we want. Try to make it better....

I think you misread the tea party entirely. There were people screaming about out of control spending when bush was president too. I was one of them. What got the tea party revolution going was the financial collapse. What added fuel to the fire was obama's response of "we're gonna spend our way out if this". The tea party is not just anti Obama though...they want the federal reserve audited, they want cuts in all spending...not just entitlement spending. Ron Paul is the defecto leader of the tea party and he says the number one issue is illegal wars and a bloated military who is backing this notion that we need to rule the world by force. That sound like an anti black thing to you?

I think you are COMPLETELY ignoring some glaring traits about today's tea party that many don't mention anymore. You are CORRECT about the evolution of the tea party. When it started they were hell bent on beating the shit out of not only Big Govt BUT Big Business too because they CORRECTLY put forth that it was the "too big to fail" boys that fucked up the economy and they were uber pissed that we the people had to bail them out.

However, once the Koch bros and others started providing money to help them become organized, they "suddenly" seemed to drop the anti wall st. stance and it turned into all Anti Big Govt. Today, they are the dysfunctional purists of the republican party. There are dozens of them who hold office that would LITERALLY destroy the country if they had the power. Oh they don't believe they're actions would do so, but that is EXACTLY what would happen. The debt ceiling is a prime example. If the Ted Cruzs of the party had the power, we'd be reading headlines today how the govt would soon be choosing between paying Soc Sec checks and military paychecks. That is literally how things would have eventually gone. And not a one of them would lose an ounce of sleep over it.

Someone once gave me great advice concerning marriage. It's served me well over the years and it applies to a lot of other parts of life too. What they said was:

Sometimes you have to choose whether you want to be right or happy. You can't always be both.

The tea party ABSOLUTELY must be right. All the time. Every time. No exceptions. Ever.

Anything less = RINO or Liberal status = "You're Dead to Me" as far as they are concerned.

Those are not people you can do business with. Every reasonable person in America knows that you have to compromise in many different aspects of life in both our business and personal lives. They don't act that way. Which is exactly why many of us think they are nothing but a bunch of whiny little kids who need to have the shit beat out of them.

You think Obama has compromised on anything? How is he different?

Yes I think he actually has. For example, everyone knows he had a "grand compromise" in place with Bohener in summer of '11. When Bohener went back to the house and told them he had negotiated a deal, those tea party fucktards told him to go pound sand. Instead of bringing it to the floor and passing it with Dems and "X" repub support, Boehner backed down and withdrew it. He was and IS a panzie ass little pussy. REAL leaders don't do that. When Reagan and Tip O'Neil negotiated a deal, it was a DONE FUCKING DEAL. Everyone on either side did what their leaders told them to do. Panzie ass Boehner caved in to those tea party shitheads and he's been bending over and saying "Yes Master" ever since. He was NEVER that way before the Tea party came along. He has just gone along with it to keep his job.

That is one difference. Granted I am NOT an Obama fan. I'm just intelligent enough to understand that between the two (Obama and Dems vs. the repubs), the one side more willing to negotiate has ABSOLUTELY been the dems and Obama vs. these insane teabillies. You have had NUMEROUS tea party shitheads who have come straight out and said that "negotiation means I get 100% of what I want". WTF is that? Try telling that to your woman dude and come back and tell me how it turned out. If she went for it, you DO NOT have a woman, you have a fucking slave with the self-esteem of a slug. Personally I have no desire for one of those. Nor do I want one of them, or the exact opposite, representing me in Congress.

i am all for well intentioned programs that actually work. war on drugs...well intentioned but a complete failure. war on terror...same thing. i believe that obamacare will prove to be a collosal failure as well.

what people fail to see is that there are ALWAYS unintended consequences. some call it blow back.

al queda pulls off the biggest terror strike of all time and what does bush do? he gets on tv and says they hate us because of our freedom and starts two ridiculous wars. al queda doesnt hate us because of our freedom...they hate us because we put troops on their holy land during desert storm in 1990. but, no one cares what bin laden says about why he hates us...we'll just believe the rah-rah bullshit that we are free and they are not so they hate us. USA, USA, USA!

its not just obama that the libertarians are against. its the whole system. the federal reserve...the deficit spending...the military industrial complex...the out of control & completely unsustainable entitlements...the erosion of individual liberty. its all bad and its so far removed from the sound principles we started with. its gone off the rails and its spinning out of control. should have collapsed in 2008 but, the federal reserve bailed it out. not sure if they'll be able to the next time. amphibian says i am too dumb to understand our monetary system...its too complex for me. well, complex systems are much more prone to collapse than simple ones.

one of my favorite tom sowell quotes...in the last 40 years, politicians in this country have replaced what has worked, with what sounds good.

its not the good intentions that will sink us...its the unintended consequences.
