Look, I'm not gonna deny that there are white racists in this country. Everyone knows that. The issue is oprah and people like her who try and make it all about skin color when, for a huge majority of people who oppose Obama, skin color had nothing to do with it.

I guess maybe the difference is the number. Many hate obama because he is a dem, just like they hated clinton....and they hate his politics....but here's what i see with something like the tea party. They sprung up and complained when they felt obama was a big spender....where were they when bush was spending like a drunken sailor? They were nowhere. Then the pop up saying "we need to take our country back" and to me ,thats we need to take it back form the big bad black man occupying our white house.
I think you misread the tea party entirely. There were people screaming about out of control spending when bush was president too. I was one of them. What got the tea party revolution going was the financial collapse. What added fuel to the fire was obama's response of "we're gonna spend our way out if this". The tea party is not just anti Obama though...they want the federal reserve audited, they want cuts in all spending...not just entitlement spending. Ron Paul is the defecto leader of the tea party and he says the number one issue is illegal wars and a bloated military who is backing this notion that we need to rule the world by force. That sound like an anti black thing to you?
I guess we'll just have to disagree on the tea party....i don't remember hearing republicans or the tea party saying anything when bush was doing what he did. I agree with the bloated military and the illegal wars but i never see tea party leaders talking about anything but spending and evil obama......again, that's the view i have.

There was no tea party when bush was in office. I am a libertarian not a republican. The libertarians were screaming bloody murder when bush was in office...but not many were listening. It was the collapse of 08/09 that really got legs under the tea party. By that time Obama was president so he took the heat
Bad wording by me.....there was no tea party while bush was in office and that was my original point. That's why i see a racial element in their organizations. I think the tea party has been nothing but bad for the country...they were the cause for the credit downgrade and just seem interested in blocking anything and everything.
I am dem and liberal...was hopeful that obama would be better but like ive said before....he's been nothing but an average president...nowhere near the disaster some here think but still better than the previous one in my opinion. I thnk his intentions are all good but the carrying out process has been a disaster in many cases.
