Good Luck tomorrow Jordan
Looking for his first Open title, Spieth is three clear of Matt Kuchar. He widened his lead on the final hole, sinking a birdie putt from the edge of the green, while Kuchar missed one that was closer.

Spieth separated himself from the field with a third-round 65, matching his score from the first round. Kuchar, playing in the same final group, shot a 66.

If I get 3 tee shots every hole, I assume I can get on the fairway in a good spot. I also assume I can get on in regulation on every hole. I think my 3 putts vs his 1 putt is pretty fair.

Where he fucks me over is he is reaching a long par 5 in 2 and short par 4s in 1. While, there are many holes where a perfect shot for me does not put me on the green in as few strokes

This is a corollary to the could the best college team beat the worst pro team in a sport...the answer, in short, is no.

But in golf it depends on how good a player you are, length of the course, course conditions, etc. If you're a 20 handicap, then no, not a chance in hell. If you're a scratch golfer, it becomes a little dicey.

John Smoltz who is a really good amateur golfer played in a pro event, and missed the cut by a mile, as best I recall.

It's like the commercials say - These guys are good!

For a decent stick I think the mulligans would be very helpful. Example the last 9 I played I shot a 41 which is nothing great. From the green tees. So tips would be more difficult...white would be easier Overall I played decent though...but a couple of poor shots brought my score up. I had 3 shots that I put in the water. Just assume I used a mulligan on those 3 shots and didnt get a penalty stroke. I had 4 putts inside of 10 feet for birdie and I made zero. Getting to see a putt definitely increases the probability of making a putt. Just to continue the thought assume I make all 3.

One hole I drove long and right....no shot at the hole and punched out....ended with a bogey. Assuming I put one drive not in jail and pick up a par.

Another hole I had a great drive....hit an iron and short sided myself. Chipped on a little long and two putted for a bogey. From that yardage with 2 mulligans par should be the very worse possible. Similar thing happened on another hole.

Just taking those strokes which is not exactly asking for the world my score is now down to 32. How does it go lower? The five holes that were not birdies before. I need to get a few more birdies. You can putt more aggressively knowing you have a mulligan. Get one more birdie and it is a 31. Five under par is a decent score. 30 is even tougher if you get 2 more birdies. Can Jordan shoot 30? Absolutely.....but it would not be the norm....even for the pro golfer. You still have to hit shots and make putts. Jordan has looked really solid this week....but it is not like that every week for him.

Played in a scramble just as a reference point and our score was 18 under with no bogeys. With the mulligans the worse score on a whole would most likely be par. It is just a matter of how many birdies.

I'd wager any amount I would win. Playing currently at a small + handicap. I'd make a shit load of putts with a realistic chance of sub 20 putts on the round. Not to mention from the white tees most if not all of par 4s would be drive and chip/wedge. Blowout imo.
