On surprises once again...... another Monday Night Football sweep!!! This one was over in the 2nd quarter my friend!!!

The Saints are a different team at home as is Bree's. They put up 31 points on Atlanta at home last season and 34 in their opening loss to Tampa Bay. Ryan looks very sharp so far and played well in both games against the Saints last season, combining for 629 yards and four TDs. The difference is he now has a running game with Coleman and Freeman. Atlanta, on the other hand, has shifted its offense to emphasize Matt Ryan's strengths. He is spreading the football around and becoming more efficient. It's a recipe that bodes well on the road, with Atlanta's improved defense. Grab the points as I expect Atlanta to send New Orleans into an 0-3 hole and the total is be destroyed!!!

Sharps are closely monitoring these Week 5 college football games BY STEVE M.

Spread to bet now: Fresno State at UNLV (-10)

This line opened -7 and has been quickly bet up to -10 and -10.5, and it will likely continue to rise higher this week. UNLV will be in a foul mood after losing 33-30 as a 14.5-point home favorite last week. The Rebels held a 539-378 total yards edge, but suffered from a 2-1 turnover deficit which included an Idaho interception touchdown return.

Fresno State is 1-3 SU this season, losing their two road games by 33 and 35 point margins. Fresno also lost a high-scoring 48-41 game at home versus Tulsa last week which might leave the Bulldogs a bit drained this week. Fresno State has been out-scored 13.5-47.5 on the road this season while being out-gained 264-512 in total yards (4.3-7.0 yards per play).

Spread To Wait On: UL Monroe (+32.5) at Auburn

This line opened +33.5 and has dropped a point, however the public will likely jump on board and push this line higher later this week, especially after watching Auburn defeat LSU last Saturday. However, this is a major flat spot for the Tigers. They go from being a 3-point home underdog to a huge home favorite, plus Auburn has a major look-ahead game on deck at Mississippi State next week.

Auburn has scored 18 points or less in three of their four games this season. UL Monroe is only 1-2 SU, but they are 3-0 ATS as they've been competitive. The Warhawks also have the advantage of a bye week entering this game with extra time to rest and prepare as a big underdog. UL Monroe has averaged 6.0 yards per play (versus opponents that allow just 5.9 yppl), while the Warhawks defense has permitted only 5.8 yards per play (versus opponents that average 6.1 yppl).

Total To Watch: North Carolina at Florida State (69)

Florida State bounced back from their 63-20 loss at Louisville with a solid 55-35 win at South Florida last week. The Seminoles have a powerful offense that has scored at least 45 points or more in three of their four games this season. However, their defense has been suspect, allowing 34 points or more in three of their four games. Overall, the Seminoles' four games have averaged 78.0 total points this season.

North Carolina's offense started slowly against Georgia in the first game, but they have come alive since, scoring at least 37 points or more in their past three games. The Tar Heel's defense has struggled, allowing 28 points or more in three of their four games this year. Overall, North Carolina's four games have averaged 71.2 total points this season.

I am going with the Bengals in this one. Although the Dolphins won last week, their defense did not impress me against a Browns team playing with a third string rookie quarterback. Miami conceded 169 yards on the ground last week, and sit 30th in the NFL allowing an average of 147 rushing yards per game, so I expect Hill to have success again this week. Also I think Dalton and Green will come alive this week against a mediocre secondary. Tannehill has also been shaky throwing four interceptions, and I think he will have a tough time against the Bengals tough defense. That Dolphins performance against the Browns has me very confident the Bengals can win this one by more than a touchdown at home.

If Kansas was coming off a bye and Texas Tech had just played, maybe I’d give KU the edge. But both teams have 10 days to rest and work on things. Texas Tech faced two very good offenses and allowed 100 points combined. Kansas is no Louisiana Tech or Arizona State. The favorite is 5-2 ATS last 7 in this series.

I am taking Houston in this one. This Houston team is the real deal with a powerful offense and a stifling defense. Connecticut‘s offense has not been productive with quarterback Bryant Shirreffs throwing for just two touchdowns in four games, so the Huskies are in big trouble against a defense which has allowed only an average of 10.5 points through four games. Also the Houston offense has been outstanding, and while the Connecticut defense has good, they have not seen an offense as powerful as the Cougars.Houston was able to defeat a decent Cincinnati team by 24 points, so I am confident they can handle a weak offensive team and cover the points.
