I'm sure behind the scenes they all hope there's some acceptable answer...not sure how there could be one at this point unless someone else emerges, which is highly unlikely.

When I first heard Benoit did it, I figured there had to be some kind of extraordinary circumstance involved, or a combination of many things that pushed him over the edge...not that there's any excuse for what he allegedly did.

I think a combination of everything led to this... Physical pain, relying on pain killers, possibly steroids,a Dr. prescribing testosterone , dealing with his sons disease, an argument where he snapped on his wife and accidentally killed her, were they really suffering from food poisoning?
He possibly accidentally killed her, and realized his life would be over, decided to take his son with him and took a while to get the nerve up to kill himself...pretty sure if he had decided to take his son with him he knew then he was killing himself soon after.

I believe this was all started by accident or he lost his mind from the combination of prescirption drugs...he had it all, he accomplished his goal as a wrestler, had a nice life, somewhere along the way reality slipped away.

timetopay: Vince didnt mention anything about the whole enema thing and saving his life?! Colon Cleans board put a press release today expressing condolences to the victims family members and asking for prayers and privacy. when asked about vince they said no comment per counsel advice. they did in fact however acknowledge that benoit was executive level management. danny has a video of benoit discusising enama techniques but its in hi beta and he will reformat it for youtube or myspace. managers under benoit would call him on speakerphone when with a recruit for a pep talk and to give them the "birds and the bees" of enemas. Imagine the rabid wolverine administering an enama treatment to vince mcmahon thats what everyone at golds was talking about today. fascinating stuff

I disagree 100%. I saw the whole show and where the hell you come up with Jericho thinking Benoit is not guilty of it is beyond me.
As a matter of fact the only thing he had issue with is that people are automatically blaming steroids. He even said that people should not be looking just at steroids and instead tryng to figure out what made this easy going guy do this horrible thing and why no one was able to see (including himslef)how disturbed Benoit was. You may need to watch it again at 1am.

There is no "Grassy Knoll"..The piece of shit did it himself.

Benoit's mystery Wikipedia now linked to Australia

Jano Gibson
June 29, 2007 - 10:16AM

Police investigating the double-murder suicide involving pro wrestler Chris Benoit are reportedly examining Wikipedia updates from a US and a Sydney-based computer which revealed the death of Benoit's wife 14 hours before police discovered their bodies.

Benoit, his wife Nancy, and their seven-year-old son, Daniel, were found dead in their Atlanta home on Monday afternoon [US time].

Police believe the 40-year-old - whose nicknames included the Rabid Wolverine and the Canadian Crippler - strangled his wife and son on either Friday or Saturday and placed Bibles next to their bodies before hanging himself from a cable on his weight machine.

But in a bizarre twist, reports have surfaced that Benoit's Wikipedia page was altered to include details about his wife's death well before police knew about the crime.

"Wikinews has learned through an investigation that anonymous edits on the Wikipedia article Chris Benoit were added about the death of his wife Nancy Benoit 14 hours before police entered the Benoit home to find the former professional World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Canadian wrestler and his family dead," a report on Wikinews says.

The first edit to Benoit's Wikipedia page regarded a competition he had been due to take part in at the weekend.

"Chris Benoit was replaced by Johnny Nitro for the ECW Championship match at Vengeance, as Benoit was not there due to personal issues, stemming from the death of his wife Nancy," the anonymous editor wrote.

That post has since been traced to a location in Connecticut where WWE has its headquarters.

About an hour later, the post was taken down by a Wikipedia moderator, who said: "Need a reliable source. Saying that his wife died is a pretty big statement, you need to back it up with something."

Then, an hour later, a second anonymous editor added more information about Benoit's no-show, saying "... which according to several pro wrestling websites is attributed to the passing of Benoit's wife, Nancy".

The edit has since been traced to a computer hooked up to the Australian-based wireless internet service provider UnWired.

The Herald understands that the computer belongs to a Sydney resident.

Twenty minutes after the Australian-sourced edit appeared, the Wikipedia moderator again reversed the post, because "saying 'several pro wrestling websites' is still not reliable information."

Wikinews says Cary Bass, a volunteer co-ordinator for the Wikimedia Foundation, has informed Atlanta police about the unusual edits.

"It didn't become apparent until someone put the pieces together and realised that the comment was made by someone who apparently knew about the murders," Wikinews quoted Bass as saying.

The Associated Press says police are trying to determine exactly who edited Benoit's Wikipedia page

I mentioned Kevin Sullivan on the first page of this thread. If I remember correctly, there were a lot of hard feelings about how that whole thing went down with Benoit stealing Sullivan's wife.

That being said, the conspiracy angles are pretty far out there. The forensic people will know if Benoit did this because his DNA will be on the boy's neck and all over the restraints that were used on his wife.

If this guy were such a great guy, I can't imagine he would come home, find his family dead and then kill himself, leaving everyone to think that he did it. It just doesn't fit, although this whole thing has a lot of bizarre twists to it.

In other developments Thursday, Ballard told the AP that 10 empty beer cans were found in a trash can in the Benoit home. An empty wine bottle was found a few feet from where Benoit hanged himself, Ballard said.
It could take several weeks for toxicology tests to be completed on Benoit to see what substances, if any, were in his system.

Wikipedia User Admits Changing Benoit Profile

POSTED: 10:22 am EDT June 29, 2007
UPDATED: 12:53 pm EDT June 29, 2007
ATLANTA -- A user of the Web site Wikipedia confessed Friday to making edits to pro wrestler Chris Benoit's profile mentioning the death of Benoit's wife before authorities had found her body.

The anonymous user acknowledged in a lengthy post added to the Web site early Friday being "deeply sorry" and called the situation a "terrible coincidence."

The edits were originally reported by Wikinews, an online news source connected to Wikipedia. Friday's post was added to a discussion page for the Wikinews story. Wikinews said the IP address of the individual is identical to that of the user who edited Benoit's profile early Monday to include that Benoit's wife was dead.

The poster did not identify himself or herself.

The individual acknowledged being from Stamford, Conn., the home of World Wrestling Entertainment. In the message, the individual claimed no connection to WWE.

A spokeswoman for Wikimedia Foundation, Sandra Ordonez, said Friday the IP address connected to the individual has a history of editing wrestling-related articles on Wikipedia.

Ordonez referred all additional questions to authorities investigating the deaths.

Authorities said investigators had not yet discovered the bodies of Benoit, his wife and their 7-year-old son when someone altered Benoit's Wikipedia entry to mention his wife's death.

Benoit’s personal physician will turn himself in
Doctor will face federal charges in connection with drug probe

ATLANTA - The personal doctor of pro wrestler Chris Benoit will turn himself in Monday to face federal charges in connection with a federal drug probe, the physician’s attorney said.

Attorney Manny Arora would not say to say what charges were involved.
Federal drug agents have taken over the probe into whether Dr. Phil Astin improperly prescribed testosterone and other drugs to Benoit before he killed his wife and son and committed suicide in his suburban Atlanta home last month. State prosecutors and sheriff’s officials are overseeing the death investigation.

A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Atlanta, Patrick Crosby, declined to say Monday whether federal prosecutors were planning any criminal charges.

Investigators have conducted two raids at Astin’s west Georgia office since last week.

wow! Congrats to all the Benoit backers that were steadfast in their support, things are about to get verrrry interesting. Has anyone ever heard of injecting steroids into their colon? you will soon. Benoit became so reliant on his enemas for well being that his doctor actually ok'd him injecting steroids into the colon canal in concert with his enemas. Stay tuned....
