Inflation is at 10% a year, which is roughly what the ticket has been increasing....you guys are cool that your house has quadrupled in value in 10 years but the Ticket doubles and you whine:WTF:

Hey Dog I live in Michigan don't tell me mty house has doubled in value. My house value is down the tubes right now. Couldn't sell it if I wanted to

Can anyone explain how this sunday ticket isn't a monopoly for Direct TV. I want to order it, but I also want to stay with my cable company.

Can't figure out how they are allowed to monopolize it.

In 1994, the satellite provider had just 350,000 subscribers and was looking for a way to differentiate itself from the well-established cable industry when it struck a ground-breaking deal to distribute all locally televised Sunday-afternoon NFL contests via Sunday Ticket. DirecTV’s ability to offer every Sunday afternoon NFL football game exclusively was a huge carrot for sports fans to trade their converter boxes in for a rooftop dish.

Ok here's the update. We just called DTV. Ofcourse they don't want us to cancel the ticket. So my wife calls tells them we want to cancel. Reason being is the cost. So she plays lets make a deal. Turns out now we will get super fan for free. Stretch out the payments for 7 months. Plus $10 off our regular package for the next year.

WOOOOOOHOOOOO thats just by making a phone call. I'm surethey are used to this. This is why you can't cancel over the net. I try never to py full price for anything.

I just did the same thing and I'll do it every year until they won't knock the price down and then i'll cancel.

<HR style="COLOR: #fdde82" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->:bigfinger Holt shit just got the reminder in the mail today. LOL 5 easy payments of 45.80 gets the Ticket at a reduced rate. And to add the HD games and the Game mix, Red Zone channel and short cuts will cost another $33 for 3 months.

Starting to think I will pass on it this year. But in the end we will bitch and moan and still pay it. The Ticket And TVG is the only reason I have direct TV. fuckers

In unrelated news, it appears the price of single serving soda, potato chips and snickers bars are set for a 400% increase in markup this fall.
