Yeah. I am hoping to get a real good deal as a first time customer... I have had comcast so getting direct TV will be sweet b/c of the sport packages...

get the fox sports package. You can get all the fosports channels and also TVG.

They are getting about 100 more HD channels soon.

Good deal you got, Right Side. I remember Directv tried hard to keep me as a Ticket subscriber, they will lower price or do other things to keep you as a subscriber. Many people don't ask and just renew every year cuz they think they don't have a choice but to pay the advertised price. Hopefully they will keep you on that deal indefinitely to avoid a yearly call to customer service.

I sure see the reasoning(for Directv) behind not letting you cancel online.

BTW, chalk has won 7 straight today at HP, guess somebody should be happy.

I used to be a DTV subscriber, but with the constant increase in rates I no longer am a subscriber. I hacked the shit out of their cards for nearly 2 years....wish there was another way to crack the code.

:bigfinger Holt shit just got the reminder in the mail today. LOL 5 easy payments of 45.80 gets the Ticket at a reduced rate. And to add the HD games and the Game mix, Red Zone channel and short cuts will cost another $33 for 3 months.



Starting to think I will pass on it this year. But in the end we will bitch and moan and still pay it. The Ticket And TVG is the only reason I have direct TV. fuckers

I get TVG with Dish Network, and if you google "FTA" then you just may be able to put up your own dish and get the Canadian version of satellite tv and they have NFL Ticket as well. For free.

If anyone asks, I didn't tell you.

I was just going off to my friend the other day about how I am sick of this bullshit. I've had the ticket for around 10 years, and it's almost doubled in price since I started getting it. This gouging is unbelievable- DIRECTV is passing the ridiculous costs that it incurred getting an "exclusive deal" with the NFL onto the customers, which is complete bullshit because they would lose a SIGNIFICANT chunk of their customer base if they lost the monopoly on the ticket. So basically Sunday Ticket subscribers are subsidizing their little protection scheme with the NFL.

At this point, I'm pretty sure I'm going to cancel and just start going out again to watch the games. It's not even that much more expensive anymore for a good burger and a couple of beers during the game at the bar.
