Boy I remember when if you signed up early you got the deal for $99 bucks, or $125 if you were late. I guess they want all they can get before cable starts getting the NFL.
buster,
Are you familiar with the FTA way? If soo would like to hear your thoughts about it. I used to hack the HU card on DTV, but they have since made it very difficult to crack the code on the p4 cards.
:bigfinger Holt shit just got the reminder in the mail today. LOL 5 easy payments of 45.80 gets the Ticket at a reduced rate. And to add the HD games and the Game mix, Red Zone channel and short cuts will cost another $33 for 3 months.
Starting to think I will pass on it this year. But in the end we will bitch and moan and still pay it. The Ticket And TVG is the only reason I have direct TV. fuckers

know little or nothing about it.i have been reading these forums for the last 3 months or so and it all is gibberish to me.very confusing to say the least.i was recommended by a good friend to buy the receiver from these guys.
http://www.southcoastfta.com/store/contactUs.asp
but the forums i have been reading on are
http://www.totalfta.com/
http://www.dsstester.com/
and if you search craigslist(key word fta) you may be able to find someone in your area to hook up or call someone in your area that owns a little mom n pop computer repair business.they seem to know about this stuff.
also if you join the forums punch your city in the search function and you may be able to find someone in your area to help
there were some threads on here about this before and i did a search and now can't find them.i wished i knew more and it seems the more i read the more confused i get.these guys are in their own little world and seem to have their own language.
I was just going off to my friend the other day about how I am sick of this bullshit. I've had the ticket for around 10 years, and it's almost doubled in price since I started getting it. This gouging is unbelievable- DIRECTV is passing the ridiculous costs that it incurred getting an "exclusive deal" with the NFL onto the customers, which is complete bullshit because they would lose a SIGNIFICANT chunk of their customer base if they lost the monopoly on the ticket. So basically Sunday Ticket subscribers are subsidizing their little protection scheme with the NFL.
At this point, I'm pretty sure I'm going to cancel and just start going out again to watch the games. It's not even that much more expensive anymore for a good burger and a couple of beers during the game at the bar.
not sure why you guys are bitching....yeah it's doubled in 10 years....WTF hasn't? Ever hear of inflation? Inflation is at 10% a year, which is roughly what the ticket has been increasing....you guys are cool that your house has quadrupled in value in 10 years but the Ticket doubles and you whine:WTF:
