:bigfinger Holt shit just got the reminder in the mail today. LOL 5 easy payments of 45.80 gets the Ticket at a reduced rate. And to add the HD games and the Game mix, Red Zone channel and short cuts will cost another $33 for 3 months.

Starting to think I will pass on it this year. But in the end we will bitch and moan and still pay it. The Ticket And TVG is the only reason I have direct TV. fuckers

I am debating this now actually, I LOVE the ticket, but fuck man, thats expensive shit and we do get games all the damn time, PLUS I have season tickets so for half of the games I wont even be home.

If you want to squeeze a few more games in without getting the ticket, call Directv and request the east coast and west coast feeds for the channels that show NFL games. This will get you your local network channels, LA and NYC network channels, meaning you will get whatever is shown locally plus whatever is shown in LA and NYC. Cost is ~$1.50/month per channel. I have had them for years and don't know if they still allow you to get them, I have heard the stopped allowing new requests. They have to send requests to get waivers from your local networks, which takes a few months and some do not consent but it is worth a shot.

I have them for Fox, CBS and ABC. Great for TV shows too, I get to watch the NY feed at say 6 pm instead of waiting until 9 pm to watch it locally. ABC is also good for the college games they show in LA and NYC on Saturdays so I don't have to watch the shit local games involving Cal.

NFL ticket doesn't excite me as all the games are on at the same time, they all go to half at the same time and all you do is get dizzy concentrating on all the games.

At the end of day you feel like you never even watched one game.

College foots rule: 9am till 10 pm games going off every half hour.

I got that exact feeling when I subscribed to the Ticket too, sensory overload. I found myself watching one play here, one play there and in the end not watching any game.

I enjoy watching the network televised game or listening to the games on Sirius now much better. This year I will likely try some online subscription for NFL games, just not worth the expense of the Ticket for me anymore.

Ok here's the update. We just called DTV. Ofcourse they don't want us to cancel the ticket. So my wife calls tells them we want to cancel. Reason being is the cost. So she plays lets make a deal. Turns out now we will get super fan for free. Stretch out the payments for 7 months. Plus $10 off our regular package for the next year.

WOOOOOOHOOOOO thats just by making a phone call. I'm surethey are used to this. This is why you can't cancel over the net. I try never to py full price for anything.

Exactly. Two time slots, three if there's a Sunday night game.

NCAAF by miles, there's no comparison.

If the offshore world does not shape up in a hurry, this will be my first year without the ticket.

I used to order it at my old job which had a fire code of 10,000+. When I started getting it it was $20,000. 5 years later it was $45,000.

I have converted in the past few years to primarily college also - I just wish ESPN wouldn't reduce the number of Hawaii games. What a great way to finish up 12+ hour day of watching games.

You should be able to get the ticket for free. When I first got it the deal was if I ordered the Ticket I got all the channels for free for 4 months.
