Matt24 with 183,000 chips according to pokernews.com. That was a 7:14 PST update so I am sure things have changed a bit.

Watch out for Vandy Crouch and Josh Evans. I've watched both of these guys play in underground games in the Dallas area and they are both fearless players. Had I known either was playing I would have had them on my list.:nopityA:

Fezzik still alive apparently as well. He's not getting mainstream coverage and is trying to stay anonymous, but last reports have him still in.

I still have quite a few of my players active. Jared Hamby is doing pretty well for me. He is #2 in the player of the year race at this time and a TEXAN

Just remember guys that when you see chip count updates, those are only for about 1/2 of the players still left today. But it does include most of the big chip guys. Also, another 1250 players play tomorrow

Anyone read any good poker books?

I've started reading Phil Helmuth's Texas Hold'em book along with Doyle Brunson's Super System.

I have ordered Harrington On Hold'em Volume 1 from Amazon tonight...

Robert Mizrachi is in the top 5 for player of the year as well and he is still live, but took a bad loss a few hours ago.

Hamby and David Pham was obviously my first choices since they are on top. But I do still have Carlos Mortenson, Gavin Griffin, John Phan and Nam Lee that play tomorrow.

So didnt you say that you were going to give the winner free airfare to Vegas? If you win we all send you $20 each. HEHE

Down to 350 it is. Well at least 350 now. Another 1300 players play today to add to that 350. But on pokernews, only about 160 players are listed in the chip counts. They dont have the totals for everyone.

William "bill" Elder is having a great WSOP so far. He is one of the chip leaders with 330,000. I almost took him in my pool as he is #3 in the player of the year race

Play Concludes for the Evening
Day 2b has ended for the evening. The players are currently bagging up their chips. Approximately 459 players survived, and they will meet the 349 players who made it through yesterday's Day 2a in tomorrow's Day 3 -- which will be the first time in the tournament that all remaining entrants are playing under the same roof, at the same time. There is officially 37:43 remaining in Level 11, and the tournament clock will resume from that point at the start of play tomorrow at 12 noon local time. The players will be "in the money" in the early stages of play tomorrow. Stay with PokerNews.com as we bring you all the action live, until a champion is crowned

My pick that I didnt take here but said was tough is looking great!

WILLIAM "BILL" ELDER will win it all!

He is third in player of they year.

Gus Hanson is also having a great year and he is high up in chips. Both of these players know how to handle huge stacks. I would look for them to at least make the final 30 with no bad luck. Did anyone take Gus Hanson or Bill Elder?

Dumbass me took the 1st, 2nd and 4th players of the year and not the third
