We've reached the dinner break on Day 5 of the 2004 WSOP. After the break there will be two more rounds of play, unless we get down to the final three tables first. I'll be back after the break with whatever relevant numbers I can glean, but heading into dinner I can tell you that these men, eliminated during level 20, will be dining with a heavy heart.

HENRIK OLSEN, 58TH -- $35,000
FRANK RUSSOMANNO, 57TH -- $35,000
TONY ABESAMIS, 56TH -- $35,000
TOBIAS PERSSON, 55TH -- $35,000
BLAIR RODMAN, MANOLITO, 54TH -- $45,000
DOYLE BRUNSON, 53RD -- $45,000
GAVIN SMITH, 52ND -- $45,000
V SENTHILKUMAR, 51ST -- $45,000
PETER GIORDANO, 50TH -- $45,000
ALI ESLAMI, 49TH -- $45,000
JESS KAUFMANN, 48TH -- $45,000
BRIAN BEVIS, 47TH -- $45,000
VAN NGUYEN, 46TH -- $45,000
DOC BARRY, 45TH -- $60,000

Good job Krack! It's a shame to miss out on the big bucks but $15K and a decent placing is much better than nothing I suppose.

I see my man Dung is still in there. I'm rooting for him. Go Dung!!!

Is it just me or are there conspicuously few well-known names still in it!? It would make one think that the luck element is bigger than originally thought, no!?

Let me tell you all about little Josh Ariah. He is a table bully and is one of those players that thinks he knows more then anyone in the room about poker and running the tornament. He kept telling all the dealers how to handle and run the game.

He was at my table and he is the one that had pocket 9's and I had aces. He was all in and won with his 9's. He made one dealer cry when he kept telling her what to do and I went nuts on him. "If you want to pick on someone pal please try me" HE SHUT UP.

He is a very good player but did get lucky vs me. That is the way it goes. Like I told ESPN "You cant put a price on a good time" and I had a good time.

I hate players like that. Sometimes it's hard to keep your emotions in check because you want to KILL the guy.

I'm sure he was "all smug" after he snapped off your rockets ...

Tough beat, great showing though !

Unfortunately it looks like we will be stuck with Ariah as he wins a $1,600,000 pot (biggest of tournament).

Jesus and Dan Harrington hooked up with Jesus doubling up with an A over Dan's K (flop no help).

I picked up on this thread, because I am watching over at Freaks place. He knows Arieh, and stated that Arieh won the hold em version of WSOP in 1999.

The guy might be a clown or a talker on the table, but it's obvious he knows how to play the game and well.

Funny how some knock a guy like that, when you have other guys that throw the crap in your face when they eliminate you.

Poker is more than a game with cards, it's a mind game as well. I hope this Arieh guy wins.

Blinds are 10,000 and 20,000, antes are 3000, and cards are in the air! On the very first hand of play, Matt Dean went all-in and doubled up against Davin Andersson. Imagine how he'd have felt if he had busted out on the first hand after fretting about today's play all through the night. I suppose it's a good news/bad news kind of thing: "Well, on one hand I busted out, but on the other hand, I get to spend the day by the pool."

Jesus Ferguson drops to 10K and goes all in three times to get back to 210K in an incredible comeback. Mattias Andersson doubles up off of Josh Arieh. At the start of the next level, blinds will be $12,000/$24,000 with a $4,000 running ante. That's $72,000 a round...
