I think it comes down to the final group match v. Paraguay, whom, if they have something to play for, will likely take the 3 pts.
The All Whites will defend and with GK Schwarzer have a chance to pull a surprise. Only chance on attack is thru set pieces though.

This whole thing about the Argentina coach being stupid is rediculous. that is just something fashionable to say right now... one person says it and everyone else repeats it.... There is only soo much impact a coach can have in a game. The Forward play for Argentina is really good. They have 3 great scorers and since it is winter in South Africa that could play right in Argentina's hands b/c they play such a fast paced game. They are fine with playing high scoring games, usually in the hot humid temperatures games are a lot slower paced.

you just answered your own question about the coach by saying "THE FORWARD PLAY FOR ARGENTINA IS REALLY GOOD". if you go to my writeup you will see my reasoning for why he is a moron though you just agreed with me. When you play a conservative 4-4-1-1 you are putting exactly ONE of these forwards in front of Messi, not two or three, which means you're leaving their best players (after messi of course) on the bench. and just to add one more knock on the albiceleste(and it hurts me to say cuz i love carlos tevez)....they don't play a high-octane offensive game...it is a very controlled attack from the back..the way the cokehead wants it...just because u know that leo and tevez and higuian, and milito who are all scoring machines, that play the euro game(highly offensive and open) doesn't equate to wins at this point of competition...maybe if they were encouraged to play more of a euro game, with their potent scoring options, they would be taken alot more serious, by serious punters...but until we see something other than the formation that rolltide pointed out 4-4-1-1 i don't see them goin any further than a 2nd round/quarters at best, bow-out
What do you think of New Zealand to get 0 points in Group F for -111? I know the Italians arent that good this year but I just dont see New Zealand getting anything in the Italy or Paraguay game and so it comes down to their game against Slovakia.
i think they squeeze one out. maybe against slovakia a draw. the pushover teams always seem to get a suprise draw at some point. i think either them or north korea gets at least a draw.

1. usa plays their best games against the best teams. im expecting a huge effort from the stars and stripes. honestly dont see them winning with all that said.
2. "ghosts of world cup past", a monkey the size of the entire nation, honestly, i think the team is pretty solid on defense even really, which is usually a main weakness. they could get roughed up against a more physical side maybe down the road.

I'm leaning towards a England, Argentina parlay in day 2 of the world cup. You win whatever you put down if you do it that way. You could win an insane ammount if you parlay USA and Nigeria at +525 and +600 but it seems like they would be a crazy long shot.

i took holland when they were 13-1 to win...and yeah it is a totally biased pick, i admit..hard to say if this is the best ever dutch squad but their offensive firepower will make 'total futbol' sure fun to watch....if the brackets lineup right i would have them playing spain in the final...at 13-1 it was worth the pick...i already have them to win their group at 8-5....not gonna lie, their defensive is old and i don' t trust the goalkeeping...would not be suprised to see many 3-2 games with this team...but their weapons with which to choose from are boundless...when u have to make a decision whether to start van der vaart or have him come off the bench u definitely know u have resourses at yer will..cheers
i kinda like this dutch team personally. i have a hard time seeing them win though. quite likely they play brazil in the qtrs, they likely will meet paraguay or italy in the round of 16. they could get by brazil they have as good a chance as anyone.

argentina have looked terrible and its not like all of a sudden they will learn how to play with each other... and coaching makes a huge difference in soccer... portugal have a nice team and at 25-1 look tempting but they always choke especially on set pieces they are terrible at corners but have the new beckham for free kicks. Pepe's injury really hurts especially now with carvalho one of the best defenders being hurt.
England always stink they will lose as always by messing up and losing their composure and their goaltending is terrible.....im not an england hater they just are what they are.....

What happens in a parlay if there is a draw? That is the only thing I don't like about soccer is these Draws... I think every game should have a winner. Having a tie ball game is like kissing your sister.
