What a way to finish! A forehand winner on the run puts Agelique Kerber into her first ever Wimbledon final.

men's semi

The Man Vs Raonic.......when the line first came out i was startled. i was thinking it'd open at -225ish. Nope -165. My bias? :)...Has been steadily rising. Raonic seems to be a different player at Wimbledon than years past. More confident. Has McEnroe been that much of an aid? Milos was a calm, cool character is his rally to beat Goffin down two sets to none. And he's breaking serve more. In fact, Milos has given Johnny Mac quite a bit of credit;

"It was very clear, the things he believed I needed to do," sixth-seeded Raonic told reporters about McEnroe.
"We really focused on not passing up any opportunities to come forward, to always keep the pressure on my opponents, keep them guessing, making them feel uncomfortable.""He definitely keeps emphasizing demeanor on court, which I probably would not have put as one of the priorities," he said.
"I think it's about making sure you don't let yourself just quietly drift away in important moments - whether that's being more vocal, being more positive."

kudos. Is he ready to reach his first GS final?....Roger is 9-2 career vs Milos and 2-0 on grass including a straight set win 2 years ago at Wimbledon. Of course, Fed is two years older, at 34 now and Milos is approaching his prime, more polished. Roger survived a battle with huge serving Cilic. By his own admission, its given him 'a lot of confidence'. He will see another huge server in Milos. I see him having greater success with Milos serve than Cilic's. Goffin, like Fed is a pretty good returner and he broke Milos 3 times. Also, i see him giving Milos a taste of his own medicine with a lot of net play......fuck it, taking The Man....dagone...

I am pretty surprised how high this line has drifted. I give Raonic a real shot here. I think he's the live dog, not Kerber.

Kerber was honest post-match that she had the nervous jitters at her first Wimbledon semi-final. I'm sure she'll have em Vs Serena. She certainly has been consistent from the back-returning a lot of balls, minimal UE's. And she's returning well-- broke Halep 6 times, Venus 5 times. Venus was just 57% won for her FIRST serves. Wow. Venus still has one of the fastest serves on tour. She knows she can beat Serena in a GS final, she just did at Melbourne.....I think Serena is going to need the 'A' game. Tough to bet agasint Serena on grass....

Kerber is certainly doesn't lack confidence;

I will go out there with a lot of confidence. I will go out there like in Australia, trying to show her I'm here to win the match," said the 28-year-old, who has yet to drop a set at Wimbledon this year.
"I'm feeling good about my movement on grass courts, I can serve a little bit better. This makes me much more dangerous than on hard."
