I have to disagree for many reasons.
Hockey is, well, an expensive sport. I'm not trying to be an asshole, but studies show that there is indeed an income gap amongst the races. On top of that arguably the league's best played is black - Jerome Iginla.
Lacrosse isn't what I would dub as a major sport. In fact the best lacrosse players I've ever seen have been guys playing on Indian Reservations. Unbelieve talent, but the have a situtation where social/cultural/economic factors offer little incentative for them to leave the reservation and play college lacrosse. A few do, others skip right to the pros, but most just play indoor box games on the reservations and leave it at that.
Soccer - I think Nigeria will be the best team in the world once their training and coaching assets come on par with the great European teams.
JMHO, but I don't think us whiteys hold a candle in terms of athletics. Lander

I agree about the "income gap" however, let's compare "apples to apples " as it were.
Right in Ontario where I live, I can introduce you to many minor league (peewee to Midget) Black hockey players who come from comfortably middle class backgrounds. This indicates that there will be zero difference between white & black socioeconomically in this instance.
The best players in the league(s) are not black. Granted there are some good ones, but the key players are all white.IF you believe that Iginla is the best in the NHL, then I am missing something. He is a talented shooter who sees a great deal of ice and receives many setup passes, but I wouldn't dream of mentioning him in the same breath as Sakic, Yzerman, Naslund...Gretzky, Lemieux..you get the idea.
Lacrosse on the other hand is Canada's National Sport. To say that Indians are the best is ridiculous. I have many years of both Junior A & Provincial Team experience in my past to say this. The Six Nations team dreaded when we came to town.
In the US, Lacrosse is primarily a College Field game and of little interest to most Canadians.
