I've seen a few of you kissing Sportbet's @ss and didn't want anyone to get the wrong opinion about this book. They suck. The only reason anyone would ever play at this book is because they offer a Fifty percent bonus. They offer no overnights, no reduced vig, no free half, very few moneylines(free half on tuesday and -105 on thurs. the exception). I realize that that is like a lot of books, but that alone should be enough to not bother playing there.

Ok, now that we've established that, let me tell you about my experience with the book. I got in the book after my brother told me about them. I think he had talked with Jake (General Manager) and he had said the bonus was kind of a "Try us out, we think you'll like us, so were willing to give a good bonus" kind of thing. So I said WTF and posted up with them. The rollover I was given was 5 times.

I realized quickly that I hated this book, and just wanted to complete my rollover and get the hell out of there. Meanwhile, someone else I know had done this same thing, and had completed his rollover. He requested a payout, and was given it promptly, MINUS THE BONUS, AND AN EARLY WITHDRAW PENALTY that was a few hundred I think. He calls up Jake and Jake says you played in the casino which made your 7 time rollover in to 10. His rollover was 5 times anyway. He literally played like two roullette spins in the casino and that was it. He got the bonus and the penalty back with an agreement to rollover the money once more. After doing this...he was paid.

So...based on that, I just considered my 5 times rollover to be 7 times now. After I was sure that I had completed my rollover, I emailed Jake to be sure I had met my rollover. He emailed back saying...At first glance it looks as though you have met your rollover so you should be all set. I email back asking if he could confirm that I have definetaly met it so I can take a payout. He does not email me back.

I wait 4 days...no email. He wanted to cover his @ss so I did not have proof of him saying I had met my rollover, Im sure. The following is a quote I found from Jake.
"If you get no response to your emails, or unsatisfactory answers to your questions, save your money and play elsewhere."

I call him up he says I have 1300 left to rollover because moneylines do not count toward rollover. Nor does anything bet on tuesdays or thursdays because those are the bonus days. I am like WTF!!! You have got to be kidding. I eventually met the rollover (I rolled it over really like 13 times in reality just to get the payout without having to go to the forums.

So basically JAKE IS A SNAKE, SPORTBET FVCKIN' BLOWS DO NOT PLAY WITH THEM.

LET ME REITERATE....SPORTBET SUCKS BALLS.

This is my opinoin
If There is mispelling or other typos I am sorry Im not proofreading this Shi t

Jake the Snake is an appropiate moniker. The balls to say bets on Tues & Thur do'nt count toward the bonus rollover. Neither do moneylines. Whats next, winning wagers do not count toward the rollover requirement?

Truth is without "off" numbers or reduced juice/free halves, most books are no better or worse. I think people are starting to realize books whose only hook is a good bonus are not great to have.

I won't pass judgment here on Sportbet in particular since I have never played with them, but the way you describe the book itself could describe plenty of outs. Even some "sacred cows" don't get my play because its not worth keeping money in a book if you find a number to play there twice a month at best. It won't be long I think before a number of these books find they can't grow their base without changing their tune.

I had the same experience at sportsbook.com, it can become a nightmare. The book at First Fidelity is top notch. I play larger amounts and they give you no sh*t when you call several thousand in right before gametime. I was astonished how great thier customer service was, really amazing. You can easily understand them and they go out of their way to help you. I have only had them for 4 months but lost over $10,000 and made that back and more recently. They teated me well when losing and winning. That for me, is the key.

If anyone needs a reliable sportsbook, this is your book.

My Rollover Policy Bet Whatever You Want X The Agreed Rollover Amount. Why Would A Book Be So Anal About This.

No thanks, I'll stick to Pinny, Oly, Cris, WSEX, Skybook, and 5 Dimes for now. No more B.S. for me. Only the best from now on.

People get screwed over at Sportbet even without a bonus being part of the story. Those who are still playing there (and winning) without an "affilation" will experience the wrath of the Jake the Snake soon enough.

I can see something like BJ not being eligible towards the rollover, and maybe even the reduced juice days not counting towards the rollover, not that I agree with the latter. But, it should be clear from the get go IF that is the case. It should all be spelled out ahead of time.

On the moneylines not counting towards the rollover, that is absurd. But again, if that is their policy, spell it out ahead of time. A moneyline bet has just as much hold to the house as a straight bet if the lines are sset correctly.

I remember a million years ago WSEX offered a 20% bonus for about 10 days, just to get people to give us a shot, and it did work, the vast majority of those players back then stayed with us for years. If I recall back then we only required a one time rollover for the bonus. Anyway, I had one guy send down 5 dimes, I put 6 in his account. He makes about $1,000 in three seperate straight bets, and then he bets $5,000 to win $1,000 on the 9ers if I recall when they were. They nearly lost the game, I'm sure he was sweating. the point is his money was at risk and if you set your moneylines correctly they have the same 5% hold as the straights. He won and promptly withdrew all of his money which I sent out just as quick so he could tell that we did pay quickly, and there were ZERO comments or questions made by me. He called me a couple of days later and wanted to know if he sent another $5,000 if I would give him a 20% bonis again. I of course told him no and never heard from him again.

But that's the way it goes, you throw up a promotion, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. You hope it works more than not. But when it doesn't, you take your lumps and adapt.

I know I will get the wrath of the gods (or rxers), but I've said it before:

If you are just trying to whore the bonus, Jake will make your life tough. Why, they are running a business. If you are a long time player, you will have little to no problems (I've played there for 2 years).

That said, same as any book, read the freakin rules. They are right in the website.

(non 50% bonus rules)
Rollover and hold:

When playing in the sportsbook, clients will be required to wager 3 times their initial deposit + bonus + fees BEFORE requesting a payout.

When playing in the sportsbook and casino, clients will be required to wager 10 times their initial deposit + fees + bonus BEFORE requesting a payout.

Clients must leave their deposit + bonus + fees amount in their account for 30 days from the date of their first play, and the account must remain active during that time frame. Roulette, Baccarat and Craps do not apply.

Failure to complete the rollover or 30 day hold will result in the forfeiture of the bonus, as well as any winnings won from the bonus in question.

MOneLines:
Wagers placed on non-baseball moneylines will NOT count towards the client's rollover. (note: I beleive Jake has discretion on this one if you are not whoring bonuses as the majority of my plays are ML or props and I have never had any type of issue)

Free 1/2 pt and 5 cent vig and best bet:
***Reminder: All wagers made, using the free ½ point, will NOT count towards the rollover for any special bonuses. If the juice is different than -110, the free ½ point will not be available for that particular line.

***Reminder: All wagers made, using the -105 Juice, will NOT count towards the rollover for any special bonuses. If the juice is different than -110, the -105 Juice will not be available for that particular line.

***Reminder : All wagers made, using the best bet bonus, will NOT count towards the rollover for any special bonuses.

for the 50% bonus:
When playing in the sportsbook, clients will be required to wager 7 times their initial deposit + bonus + fees BEFORE requesting a payout.

When playing in the sportsbook and casino, clients will be required to wager 20 times their initial deposit + fees + bonus BEFORE requesting
a payout.

*Clients must leave their deposit + bonus + fees amount in their account for 30 days from the date of their first play, and the account must remain active during that time frame.

Customers taking a payout in the last fifteen (15) days are not eligible for re-deposit bonuses, unless the deposit amount is greater than the withdrawal amount, and only then on the difference between the two.

Maximum deposit eligible for a bonus is $300.

I don't know how much clearer things could be. If you don't read the rules, don't come here bitching and complaining. If you are whoring bonuses, then read the freakin rules first and you will reduce your anxiety. If you honestly tried the book and were unhappy, I believe Jake would refund your monies, absent the bonus and transaction fees, and then you can move on.

There has been plenty posted about Sportbet, so read this and other threads when deciding whether or not to play there.

ok, let me have it fellas.

Assassin is correct, Sportbet (now) does list its' bonus requirements out on their website in full. I don't think most of the compliants dealing with Sportbet are JUST because of bonuses but rather winning there and the $hit you catch there after assassin.

There is no excuse for not responding to emails in a fast, courteous and forthright manner.

Any business offering any sort of promotion has to expect customers who actually want to take advantage of it. You can hope they will get hooked and buy your non-promotional stuff also, but you can't expect it from them and hold them accountable if they don't.

And of course you can tell anyone you don't want their business, but only after you've paid them in full and honored all of your agreements up to that point.

FWIW I haven't had an account at Sportbet for a long time because I simply didn't feel comfortable...I had a delayed payment once and that was enough for me. It was a long time ago and it sounds like they got their sh*t together since then, but I'm an elite books only guy.

Pinnacle, Olympic, WSEX are the gold standard IMO and Hollywood and Skybook/IIS are also reliable and great for the reduced juice. The only reason to play anywhere else imo is if you have accounts at all of these and want to have more line shopping opportunities.
