Curious to know what the church people in this thread think about "the throat slash" that was outlawed....or the gesture where the defender acts like he's digging dirt and throwing it over his shoulder.......

I got a pretty good laugh out of Joe Buck, and getting more of a laugh out of this thread.....

Oh yeah, just in case you forgot......:carto1710

I know 1 white guy that needs to do something with his hair. facial hair. Jake (I still suck even though I'm with a better team) Plummer. Maybe now that his season is over he can let a rat knaw that sh*t off his face.

As far as Moss goes you guys all know that he is going to get that reaction because he is Moss. If someone else would've done it, it still would've been brought up but a big deal wouldn't have been made about it. He gets that reaction because he is Randy Moss. And guess what else guys, he brings it on himself, because of the constant stupid things he does. From walking off the field, to getting arrested for pot, to leaving the scene of an accident. and the other 50 dumm things he's done in the last 6 or so years.

I didn't see the game, but from the description, I thought he really did mooned the crowd. which would not have been good. But now that I understand he didn't really do it, wtf?

Atleast Moss was original, i mean common noone would even think that he would do that. Showboat ok but not the moon. The showboating is sparked by Rap and all the new hot songs that come out. Lets say "Jay Z" and hes "Dirt of your shoulders" how many times have you seen that... TONS. Not only after catching a touchdown but sackin a qb. Being a Packers fan it bothers me that the Viks won the game and that Favre had to play such a horrid game but hey! Payton still doesn't have a ring and Favre already did being in the league 5 or 6 years. So you have to understand that he is gonna leave without a ring which is fine.

Moss is a great player but he will never get a ring with the Viks, and by the time he gets traded or signed he will be an old man with all the STATS but no RING!

Whatever happened to playing the game with class? Moss won't have to worry about that because he showed his true colors in the Redskin game by leaving the field early.

Why should Moss care what the fans say in Green Bay? He makes many times more $$ than them. At least there will be some class in the next round like McNabb and Brady.

When James Brown a proud black man basically says that Randy Moss is a piece of sh!t,he is a piece of sh!t.I'm sure James Brown had to overcome more and work harder to become what he has.I'm sure he looks at Randy Moss as an emmbarrasment to the black race.

Peoples additude toward Randy Moss is an accumulation of things. Its not the hair or the color of his skin. With out the god given talent the only uniform Moss would be wearing is an orange jumpsuit with numbers on his back.
He is the poster boy of whats wrong with pro sports.

To bad your hairline trigger to call people bigots wasn't just as sensitive when it comes to common decency.

Pat, what does Moss being black have to do with it? The guy is not 'an embarassment to the black race' (unless you think that one black guy represents ALL black people) ... he's an embarassment to the league, and to his team. Jeremy Shockey is another punk (though so far not as bad), and I wouldn't daresay he's an embarassment to the white race.

The league needs to get on this kind of thing because it's immature and unprofessional, not because of anti- or pro-racial stereotypes.

X I agree....I was commenting and adressing more the bigot coment.I was responing to a race comment. For evevry Moss that pulls a stupid stunt there is a white doing the same thing. But, like i said its the accumaltion of his juvenile delinquint behavior. And the fact of the matter is perception is reality.

He would never play for the Patriots.

At the risk of sounding like my dad, I remember when a defensive lineman would make a great tackle for a loss and then walk back to the line of scrimmage. No dance, no shaking his head "no," no self aggrandizement, just doing his job. I remember receivers making great grabs in the end zone and maybe spiking the ball or high-fiving a teammate. I also remember players getting up immediately after an injury and limping to the sideline, not wanting to appear weak to the other team.....now these guys call out the entire training squad for a hangnail, then they'll be back in the game a few plays later.

I suppose we fans love all this dancing and hype, so we created this monster or allowed it to grow.

There is a differance between talent and class. And unfortunatly most of the people that have the talent dont have the class. I dont have a problem with what Moss did but look at some of the best to ever play the game. Most of them didn't act the way he does. I do enjoy the occasional dance but whatever happened to guys like Barry Sanders that simply said "you've been there before act like you'll be there again." In my opinion he's the best ever and never once did anything that he did ever come into question. Or if you want to stay in the same position on the feild when was the last time Jerry Rice ever did anything stupid.

I do take some gratification in the fact that the NE Pats have won 2 of the last 3 super bowls and they are a great team. They dont have any Randy Moss or Terrel Owens. No flashy over priced, over publisized WR, or QB. They prove that even still you can win without great players that do whatever they want, but a collection of decent to good players that do what there told and play together as a team. Does anyone here ever see Randy Moss saying to his coach. Yes coach I know we dont have any DB's so if you want I'll give up playing WR and play DB because I know its best for the team. No way in hell, but NE players will do whatever is necessary to win. And I love that.

It wasn't a throat slash
It wasn't a gun to the head motion
He wasn't pretending to snort a line of coke off the football.

So let's all just relax.

When any of you have scored a touchdown in an NFL rivalry playoff game and you hand the ball to the official without celebrating...we'll talk.

He didn't take any clothes off...It was a motion. The fact that people get upset about this is really kind of laughable itself.

If it had been in the metrodome he would have handed the ball to one of the kids down near the field like he does every other time. Give it a reest.

Most of the people upset about it are the same ones who get upset about everything else that the media overreacts to.

Most sports fans just follow the media.

Since Joe Buck made a big deal out of it... So does everyone else...because he was first.

Since he made a big deal out of it everyone else has to as well.

If Buck would have said something along the lines of "Look at Moss playing with the Green Bay crowd now" I doubt we'd still be talking about it. Wouldn't have been any bigger deal than the cell phone or sharpie or Terrell Owens doing Ray Lewis dance (Rather horribly I might add)

Remember Mark Gastineau of the Jets in the 80s? He's the first defensive player I remember acting like he had just made a Superbowl-winning sack after every routine tackle he made. What a toolshed.

I don't hate Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Ray Lewis, or any of those hotdogs....I just think there is a lot to be said for playing with class with the goal of winning. Celebrating is okay, but not taunting your opponents or their fans, IMO.

when you have thousands of fans screaming at you.. taunting you on the sidelines.. that would probably annoy you aswell, so he did what he felt at the moment i guess.. its not like he copped a squat on the football and threw it into the crowd!

you are all so uptight about this, and quite frankly, i think youre giving him just what he wants .. ATTENTION!!

Attention=more tv time=more sales of Moss jerseys bc he's a "badboy" thanks to the Joe Bucks of this world.

oh and there WERE replays of what he did .. Fox 5 had it on the 10:00 news, ABC had it on their sports report, UPN 9 had it .. and they showed it at the end of the game as well, i believe
its really not THAT bad.. compared to Chris Webbers throat slashing act IMO

PS for those who dont know .. HE DID NOT REALLY PULL DOWN HIS PANTS!!

Hustler, you're right; Moss' actions are being blown out of proportion and we are all overreacting. That being said, I am just posting my opinion that it was a classless move....I didn't lose any sleep over it, but I would not like to see my kids acting that way whether they are in the NFL or a sandlot game. We're just voicing our opinions, which I believe was what this thread was started for. :suomi:

Joe Buck is a 2-faced P.O.S.

amazing how someone like Moss pisses him off - but when it comes time to sell his soul and do Budweiser ads with "Leon" - who is somewhat like Moss - Buck has ZERO problem acting like an "a*s" and taking what has to be a large sum of money but something like Moss is a sin to society?

Buck should shut the hell up - or better yet - if he has such a huge problem with what Moss did - Buck should give EVERY PENNY of the money he made from the Budweiser ads to some charity since keeping it would be hypocritical.

El dont get me wrong, im not saying your all bad ppl for thinking its wrong, ur right this thread is to discuss what Randy did. I dont think it was out of this world, i mean all in all, if i could describe his action in ONE word it would just be IMMATURE.. i think EVERYONE would agree with me. I dont think it was "disgusting" i dont think it was "obscene".. i just see a 5 year old doing that on the playground before i would think to see a 28 year old, grown man do that. wouldnt you all agree? that is why i think its immature and not disgusting. (his clothes were on!)
