Why is it so hard to cap college football this year?

I've won over 50% of my plays, the problem is that the most heavily touted plays (e.g. the one I put most of my money on) are losing. The exceptions are the Over/Under plays - those seem to be doing well. And I think now that we can see the offensive/defensive numbers we'll be able to get some good opportunities this weekend.

My Theory comes down to scholarships.

Since the so called smaller programs have been able to recruit better players it has made a huge impact.

The spread offense has been very difficult to defend. If a team has WR with 4.3 speed get him the ball. With the spread a decent QB can out play any defense even with small O line.
Coaching is getting better with technology. Coaches have the instant information when developing a scheme. This technology is playing a huge factor.

seems like more parity this year between first rate teams and 2nd rate teams

Best post of the thread... BRAVO!! :toast:

Between scholarship equality, players transfering on a whim if they don't start and the intense harvesting of insane high school athletes in the South by practically every DivI school things have just tightened up.

One thing that never changes... the guys who never post their bets BEFORE the games always talk about their wins AFTER the games...
