Probably tops the list of most overrated band ever.

Sure. The #1 U.S. band of all time in record sales and 2nd to only the Beatles in total sales by a band. I guess all those people are just dumb and should just bow to your musical taste.

LOL...dude cmon I'm aware there are no current sports. I didn't say anything about current sports. If you like ESPN showing an entire Eagles concert cool....I don't! I'd rather see a re-run of a great past NFL/MLB game for my Sunday night that's all

And if you'd like to watch some rehash of the 1976 World Series well knock yourself out. ESPN knows their ratings are in the toilet, so they decide to shake things up to get some viewers. Sounds like a smart business move to me. Lord forbid a channel would offer some alternative programming when they have no current product. Sorry folks, it's not some Liberal thing. Not everything is about politics (although I know that's hard for some of you to believe).

I don't know about that I keep hearing people say ESPN does not care about the return of sports despite no one offering any evidence as to why they would not want the return of live sports. It simply becomes that ESPN is a liberal network. If such personalities such as Scott Van Pelt, Ryan Clark, Dan LeBatard, Suzy Kolber, Mike Wilbon, etcetera, are liberal and offensive I would expect those offended to simply stop watching the network with or without live sports.

Think I've watched a total of 60 minutes of ESPN since March. Don't need specials on LB's orchestrated decision, Cari Champion's fake stats on police brutality or minute-by-minute updates on who has tested positive for the flu.

Do you live under a rock?

Their ratings have been going down the toilet for years now. Everything ESPN is about politics hence the reason they've lost viewers by the thousands.

Enfuego please just stop. ESPN's ratings are the lowest they've been in over 40 years, and it has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with the fact that they have no product right now. It's as simple as that. Might I remind you, you were the one that said Nike was going to go under all throughout the Kaepernick deal. I think you need to leave the marketing to the professionals. One might ask what rock you've been living under since this pandemic started

I just thought it was strange that the guide said "ESPN Documentary" and I flipped it on and it was an Eagles concert.
Just strange, that's all.

Why waste time watching ESPN when you can just watch Clay Travis tell you about what is happening on ESPN.

Bro, I'm not talking about ratings during COVID. I'm talking about their ratings overall pre-covid and it has everything to do with politics hence the reason they fired President John Skipper and fired Jemelle Hill and others. The new management team knew what Skipper and staff were doing to the ratings because of their constant political angle.

The stats show sports viewers don't want politics mixed in with their viewing of sports.

Hotel California wasn't even on that album, that seems so weird. Also just weird in general that the most sold record of all time would be a greatest hits album. It had no original material!

The first letter of "E" for ESPN stands for entertainment.

The eagles concert happens to be "entertainment"

Just sayin

(and yes it was odd to see a concert on there, especially the eagles)

Nothing about their music represents a rock band.. If your music is downshifted to elevators and grocery stores , its not rock music.. Numbers of people do alot of things.. Including listening to music. That doesn't disqualify it from being overrated.. To me their music sounds old and tired.. Never got it .. To each his own.. That's my opinion..

So you start a thread asking why the Eagles concert is being performed on ESPN last night, and then you claim you're not talking about ratings during Covid19? Uh, actually yes you are. And I gave you an answer as to why. The ratings pre-covid19 we're not close to being the worst in the last 40 years, so you can stop with that also. Currently, which is what we're talking about, they are using alternate programming because their ratings are in the toilet. I can't make it any clearer for you. Have a nice day. I'm done with this.

When you can refute the fact that they are the number one US band of all time in record sales, and number two to The Beatles, let me know.
