I'm Italian, and like you, I hear ethnic jokes all the time. They don't offend me, like Irish jokes don't offend you. I doubt that there are very few blacks that would not be offended by your joke. For these reasons, I think that your joke was out of line, as well as the title of this thread. I don't know you, but I suspect that you know that your comment would get a reaction.
If I had thin skin, I wouldn't be responding to this thread. I said your comment was an insult to the site, I didn't say that I was personally offended by your "joke". If I was black, I would be personally offended.

no joke, i was driving through not such a great part of Baltimore yesterday and spotted a watermelon truck parked right next to a Tyrone's Fried Chicken. Don't know what the big deal is, I too enjoy the watermelon and occasional bucket of Popeyes. I guess you just can't make jokes now a days.

In my opinion it is an insult to the site, and probably is in violation of the site's posting guidelines. I have no problem with Michelangelo, I probably agree with 80% of what he says; this is an exception.

The real question should be why are blacks so easily offended when other ethnic groups are able to laugh off jokes about them.. I can't answer that question, but those are the facts.
