i always kind of thought most people stick around... just sometimes they feel its time to reinvent themselves.

I recently cut back my posting volume by about 95%, and actually had considered just stoppingposting entirely. Just had an epiphany of sorts about the cost:value ratio with regards to the time I spend flooding the forums as compared to the number of people who actually give a fúck about anything I post (since even I don't, I can't help but imagine it's a very low number.)

Maybe some good will come of it and Identity will look to me as an example.

I dont know what you mean by this Phaedrus, it is called discussion...

I always look forward to seeing what you have posted... especially in the Politics forum...

If you expect people to be WOWED or BLOWN AWAY or flock to your posts maybe you have an un-realistic expectation, but I think i would speak for many here when I say that many of us take note of what you say & enjoy the discussion...

Agree with SS on the discussion point....

As far as posting and why people quit....as for myself there are times, especially during summer, when I don't bet as much....a few bases totals....I got other things going on and it takes away from the time pecking at this keyboard....

More or less getting burned out in the politics forum.....anymore people are posting little snippets about what some candidate said and running with it like a dog running 15 feet on a 10 foot chain....maybe I'm too cynical about politics to ever really get involved very deeply anyway....

HEY. BET AND POST ARE TWO DIFERENT THINGS, I THINK PEOPLE DONT POST ANYMORE BECAUSE THEY ARE TIRED OF B**L S***T IN THIS SITE, WE TALK GOOD ABOUT WHO WE LIKE AND BAD ABOUT WHO WE HATE SO PEOPLE DONT REALLY KNOW WHATS REALLY GOING ON PEOPLE TALK ALOT OF SHIT, I READ THIS PAGE ALL THE TIME THE BOOKIES THATS REALLY HATE TO PAY ARE LISTED HERE AS THE BEST BOOKS AND ONE OF THE TOP BOOK ON THIS PAGE TOOK 3WEEKS TO PAY ME 10DIMES, SO I THINK THATS WHY PEOPLE DONT POST ANY MORE, I WONT SAY NOTHING ABOUT WHO DIDNT PAY ME, CUZ IS ONE OF THE NUMBER ONE BOOK HERE. SO IF WHY POST? WE NEED TO B REAL.

I think the original boys who left in a huff are bitter about the evolutionary process of this forum and the offshore world in general. As information becomes more and more freely available, being an "insider" is becoming less and less of an advantage. Bookmaking is one field which is starting to be replaced by computers. Pinnacle is pretty much proving that and the scary part is that I think I know how that monster machine is programmed!

Still, I feel I learn a lot from visiting these forums on a daily basis. Those who say there is little or nothing to learn here should really have their head examined. The moment you think you know everything is the beginning of your demise. I have yet to see a counterexample to that maxim.
