In a way I guess that song would apply to both of as we are both fed up with the way "our people" are and have in turn "sold out", but for me estamos mejorando las dos razas. I can understand how a Tica might prefer foreigners but it isnt as always as black and white as money or class but un cuestion de gustos. Not all Ticas like soccer, piropos, and musica ranchera but you will find plenty who do. As well as not all Gringos are materialistic, chasing putas in CR, or worried about keeping up with what the neighbors are doing or buying.

I consider myself lucky as I have taken the path of the wanderer which gives me the ability and perspective to laugh at everyones culture including my own. If you think I stick out like a sore thumb here you should have seen me in high school as I was raised by a biker in "redneck country" which was rather unfortunate for me as I do not like country or own cowboy boots or chew skoal. Needless to say my long hair and heavy metal shirts got me into a lot of fights back in school.

If you cant laugh at yourself and/or see flaws in your culture you are blind because shit is fucked everywhere, everyone is stupid, and its goddamn hilarious
