Both will probably go down as the best in their respective sports, but I think Federer is more dominating.

-In futures betting he is routinely 1-4/1-3 to win Wimbledon.
-It is absolutely shocking when he loses.
-There is no value betting on him and it's basically pointless to bet against him.
-The gap between him and his competition is quite vast.

Many of you are underestimating how much skill there is in tennis. It doesn't matter anyway, as the question is who is more dominating in their sport, and there is no way that the answer isn't federer. Federer disappearing from tennis would unravel the universe, woods disappearing would just be a shame.
Do not even start to compare hitting a golf ball to a tennis ball......People who follow sports can attest they are both dominant in their respective sport.....Roger is doing things now that are unbelievable, but taking everything into account, Tiger is most dominant....the man consistently gives 100 per cent all of the time and his mental game and toughness is tremendous...there are alot more great golfers than tennis players right now...golf is much harder to master than tennis....JMO
when guys like Agassi and Sampras are saying Federer is the best player they've ever seen, I'll listen. He is simply incredible, never lets his emotions get the best of him, and seems like a class act in my opinion.

I bet you've never played tennis. In highschool, I remember all the jock types, myself included, would always clean house at basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, football, baseball, etc. The one sport where the jocks couldn't keep up was tennis. Federer has to be the best EVERY match though, Tiger does not have to be the best every round. Federer also has a much more demanding schedule in a much more grueling sport. Also his winning percentage is much higher than Tiger's is, even in such a hard sport. If golf was like tennis, and every tournament was decided by matchplay how many tourneys would Tiger have won?
