Than how come every other team didnt win Cups? Thats like those who say the goalies sucked in Gretzkys time flopping all over the place and stuff than why didnt everyone score as much as him?

Skate...those teams wern't built on a draft system. Back then teams were formed by players living in certain "territories" There were only 2 Canadian teams back then. Them and Toronto. It's no secret the French Canadians were superior back then. And Montreal had the rights to EVERY Canadian that lived within those particular boundaries. It wasn't until 63' that the draft was implemented and by them the Montreal franchise had not only already established themselves [winning 5 consecutive championships in the late 50's] , but stock piled talent in their system that carried over for YEARS to come.

Those teams were great teams. No doubt. But they were tainted as well. There's no arguing that point at all.

I do!

You'll see a completely different team come playoff time.

i agree man..i mean i spinkle money on them even during a losing streak or put them in my parlays..but i wil put even bigger money on one of my fav teams during the playoffs..I might be wrong but I still believe Redwings will light it up in the playoffs..they are just bored and complacent..

This crap might actually help the Redwings. Teams usually go, ''oh shit the Redwings'' we have to bring our A team, but now they will think, ok we have to play hard, but back of their minds they know how shitty detroit has been playing and that might give Detroit a little bit of an edge not being a powerhouse team coming into the playoffs..In any case..don't underestimate these guys..don't forget what they did not long ago so easily..

I'm not sure "bored" is the right word.

In fact it won't even suprise me if it takes a loss or 2 in the first round of the playoffs but.....they need something to light a fire under their ass and when ever that happens is when they'll be ready. Hopefully for my sake, with all the shit I've been talking, that it's not too late when that happens. But it WILL happen. I know it will. Hossa alone will make sure that spark happens.

Let's also not forget, the Wings at least tonight..played without Rafalski and Lilja on D. That's their no.2 and either no.3 or 4. D that are out. Not to mention Darren Helm [who's a bundle of energy] will be playing come playoff time. Lilja's injury is hurting them a little more than their letting on. He's out with a concussion and is nowhere close to coming back yet. May sound a little trivial but I think it's a big reason the goalies are struggling more of late. They all played in the key wins throughout the season.

It,s hard to judge this years version of the Wings. Last year they led the leauge in goal against. This year they ranked 20th out of 30 teams. . So are they going to be play some good defensive hockey in the playoffs , they basically haven,t played well defensively all year. The thing with the Wings when there on and buzzing around , the other team hardly touches the puck. Ozzie might see 20 shots when the wings are on.
Looking down the road in the playoffs. They might have to go out west three times before possible reaching the finals. Ana, Van and San Jose will be real tough on them.

I seen the post game interview with Coach Babcock last nite and he is pizzed.

I,d be real surprised to see the Wings lose to Minn next game.
