Who was the NBA's Greatest Dunker ???

While i hate Vince Carter, in all the years i've watched the dunk contest he's the only one that literally made me jump out my seat because his dunks were so nasty.

His in game dunks are just as filthy too. That one on Mourning last season was pretty sick. I saw him live catch a half court lob above the square and behind the backboard in LA and I still have no idea how he caught it, let alone dunk it.

Dr. J was the greatest and it's too bad most of his greatness was before all the games were on T.V. and he was in the A.B.A. at that. Nobody jumped and moved in the air like him.

Vince Carter is just as great as the Doc. He has many, many awesome dunks that happened during the games. Way more than anybody else.

Wilkins was in a league by himself and had many, many great dunks. Drexler was great and so was Jordan.

Bernard King was a great dunker and got on rolls. Dr. J. and Bernard King had a classic game late 1 night with the Golden State Warriors and the Sixers. That game was amazing and if you could watch it again it would blow your mind. They kept dunking on each other all night. What a game.

Terrance Stansbury. Finished 2nd in the NBA dunk competition 3 straight years in the 80's. Orlando Woolridge was awesome. So was David Greenwood.

Xavier McDaniel in his prime was awesome and so was GEORGE GERVIN.

I saw Carter live before all his injurys and the stuff he did was just silly

I think Barkley usually led the league in dunks during the Jordan Era. So he gets mention too.

I played vs. Carter back in high school and it was sick to see someone of his capabilities run the court with ease. To give you an example of what it was like; imagine playing, guarding the top of the key and with two quick moves - time seems to stop. You turn around and look up after what seemed like 15 seconds to see VC wink at you.

It was amazing to exerience but still have to say that Jordan is King. Although VC has hops, Jordan flew. The closes comparison is Bruce and Chuck. Norris was a bad ass but Lee flowed like water through the cracks.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be shocked if Vinsanity doesn't get number one. He has so many sick slams in-game it's ridiculous, not to mention the insane shit from the dunk contest.

No doubt. They had the top 50 dunks of all time the other night on FSN, didn't catch all of it, but what little I saw was great.
