Times sure have changed. TV dads in the 1960's taught their TV kids good life lessons. The writers of these sitcoms actually had a knack for making a entertaining story while at the same time showing moral value. Todays writers are void of morals and it shows. Todays writers are so obscessed with sex that that is the only theme of the show. I can sit down and watch TV shows on TVland with my kids...I can't say that about current sitcoms. Just my opinion, but that is why I like TVLand I guess. My vote: Ward Cleaver and Andy Griffith.

Cliff Huxtable (Bill Cosby) and James Evans (John Amos) Good Times are two my favorites. Has nothing to do with race, just thought they were squared away dads who cared for their children.

Tony Danza...."Who's the Boss".......He is Italian, cooks, cleans, good looking, great sense of humor, works out, and loved Frank Sinatra.
