So what's your take on what Boxslayer pulled? He touts a pick, has a full page write-up, then after it loses, he miraculously bet something entirely different (which won btw, I know, SHOCKING!) all by "Mistake".... someone who touts a pick the entire day doesn't know the difference between 1st half and full game? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaha!

I'm not fully aware of the Boxslayer incident. Just from a quick glance, he posted he loved a first half pick and then later noted how lucky he felt that he accidently bet the game and won (where the first half pick would have lost). Did he count this first half pick as a loss against his record? If he did - whats the problem? If he didn't count it against his record for tracking, then it's similar to your stunt. Also, I think it's cool that people do full page writeups whether they win or lose.

So giving props to others who know more about hockey than I do, is "weasel maneuver"? So no one's ever changed their mind before placing their bets? Well, I did. Thanks to them. And I don't post everything I do because I don't spend 24/7 on the computer like some unemployed "lawyer".

Giving props is not the weasel maneuver. People change their mind all the time about things, nothing wrong with that. The weasel maneuver is thinking you can claim 2 guys talked you out of a play and then patting yourself on the back after the play in fact lost and THEN POSTING ABOUT IT. You're fooling no one that you swallowed that big keg of chalk Crunch.

And I don't post everything I do because I don't spend 24/7 on the computer like some unemployed "lawyer"

You average almost 20 posts a day in TheRX. I'm sure you would have found the time to post your retraction on the play had you actually bailed on such a big bet.

Not sure who the lawyer reference is to.

So it would've been alright had I posted "I bet the Ducks by MISTAKE and won 40 units!!!! But don't worry, this will be marked as a loss. Woohoo!

How would I give them props? Telepathy? Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha! If anyone has read my NHL picks, I've said I don't care for the sport, never watch it and would wish it would go on a strike for eternity. The two posters obviously know their stuff because they are regular posters to the forum. So it's not out of realm of possibility that they convinced me to lay off the bet.

Yes, I've noticed that people who regularly contribute picks and discussion about betting have higher posts than the freeloaders who couldn't pick their own noses without stabbing themselves in the eye.
I did post. It just happened to be after the game. But I guess I would've got a free pass had I posted that they convinced me to take the Ducks after they took the lead (just like BoxLiar did with his fake pick).

Check out the Gyno thread for the unemployed "lawyer" who is planning to turn tout since he has "no clients" and doesn't "litigate."Don't bother accepting his "challenge" since he backs out every single time.

Oh yeah Crunch, in your hockey thread you said the following (after claiming you didn't bet)

You guys talked me out of it. I ended up not betting either side. I should know better than to bet a sport I despise. But go Ducks

The advice offered to you that supposodly took you off the game was:

why not just put it on the Series price for Ottawa, +160

and

Why not take ANA +1.5 at a cheaper price?? You can still win if OTT wins...

That's what convinced you bail on your biggest play????

Nice editing. And no, the first one did not convince me at all.

These did though:

the Ducks are known to choke?? maybe, but they're not nearly as notorious for that as the Sens are... Why not take ANA +1.5 at a cheaper price?? You can still win if OTT wins... doesnt seem like you're too confident that the Sens will win by 2 or more, which makes ANA +1.5 the better play IMO... even better than that as Cleo said is the Sens for the series... just seems a little reckless to toss so much on a team that hasnt looked that good in this series... nothing i've seen to date has shown they deserve to be 2:1 favs over the Ducks.. even without Pronger

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Quote:Originally Posted by globulous nothing i've seen to date has shown they deserve to be 2:1 favs over the Ducks.. even without Pronger Have to agree completely. When Chris Neil is your best player in the finals, you're probably in trouble. If the Alferson, Heately & Spezza line has not shown up by now, very unlikely they will show up at all as a dominant line. Heatley & Spezza floating thru these finals. Those two aren't exactly great 2 way hockey players. The uber villian Chris Pronger scored the winning goal into his own net the last game, which is always kind of funny. His absence may not be a big factor this time. Both goalies looked kind of shakey in game 3.In a must game, both teams may play tight and play tough defensive hockey. That should favour the style of the Ducks.

They clearly know more about the NHL than I do.

I originally couldn't stand ManeJ, but I think he's actually matured since the debacle with the Super Bowl. Could be wrong about that, but just the impression I get from reading his posts then and now.

Anyway, Crunch99 is far and away the most useless poster on the Rx. And that would explain why he has almost 3 times as many votes as any of the other choices.

And for the record, the talk about Boxslayer is ridiculous. The guy has been an asset to the Rx and actually contributes to real discussion on games. He counted this posted play as a loss on his record, and that's all that matters. I've had the same thing happen on an occasion or two. I've also had the opposite happen, where I accidently picked the wrong team and had it lose. Not very often in my gambling career, but it's an honest mistake.

I purposely left Boxslayer off the list for exactly what you stated above ... He doesnt need to associated with these jokers ... ( Plus the Ace-Ace Contributions ... were some of the funniest shit I ever saw on this site , so gets a free pass with me ...):suomi:

Wow, who put these hypocrites in charge of morality? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

So when their beloved poster pulls a shady scam, it's perfectly OK.... but when someone they hate (because they are still bitter about arguments they've lost to me) they treat me like I'm Brandon Lang. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

If they ever have a falling out with BoxLIAR, you just know this is the first thing they'd bring up to embarrass him. Bunch of hypocritical jackasses. Hahahahahahahaahahahahahhaha!

I will actually agree to a degree about it being thrown up in his face or at least attempted to be.

I don't see why you don't get that shit like that happens. Every gambler has put in a wrong bet by accident. I could see if he counted his fortunate win on his record & not his loss as to why you go wild on him. He didn't do that so why the constant harping on it?

Bingo. If you gamble long enough - you'll be on both sides of a mistaken bet (win and lose).

Crunch is harping on it because he can't find anything that equates to the stunt he pulled - plain and simple.

Yeah, everyone's touted a play, wrote full page write-up, convinced his followers to take a leap of faith... then when they all fall to their deaths, he somehow manages to survive because he "mistakenly" bet something entirely different. He somehow got sloppy when it mattered the most: entering his bet.

And does he speak up when the Pistons are losing? Nooooooooo, he waits until they take a commanding lead then he announces to his minimons that he somehow survived the bad bet because by the miracle of god, he had entered a wrong bet, which won. Yeah and themanjeez knows sports. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

I mean what book puts 1st half and full game bets side by side???? How do you make a dumb mistake like that??????

Seriously.... I can't wait until one of you have a falling out with BoxLIAR, then your true feelings will surface and this will be the first thing you hypocrites throw in his face. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

You asked which books show the plays side by side clown.

31-8...hang onto that tiebreaker vote fraud.

You have to manually select each one to appear that way. Not to mention 1st half and game lines are never the same. Now watch BoxLIAR come in and claim he bets with TheGreek. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

I'll just use the vote on whether you'll ever post a winning bet. That would be a no. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

railbird is a great contributor, but he did pull one recently where he posted New York second half in Arena Football, they were -2.5 points.....

later when the game was over, he chimed in that his bet was a "push" coz he bet the ML.
