Hmmm you don't think Rose has 68 in him or Phil 67? I think both guys would gladly take Spieth shooting 72 today.

It's not that they can't, it's just that odds are against it. Rose has shot 68 twice in the final round in his 9 trips to Augusta National. His final round average at Augusta National is just above 72. Lefty has shot 67 twice in his 20 final rounds at Augusta National. If Spieth shoots 72 he has a great chance at taking home the green jacket.

Oh no doubt he would be in the drivers seat… I was simply referring to the statement basically saying its a foregone conclusion if he shoots 72.

let's see how Jordan handles the heat. He's got two accomplished names in Rose, Mickelson within striking distance. His double on #17 opened doors....:)

Phil yes, Rose hopefully not since my early prop money is on Jordan and Phil. The problem for Mickelson and Rose is they both shot a 67 yesterday. It is very hard to put two rounds like that together back to back on the weekend. If it happens, the player most likely to do it is Phil because he takes more chances than Rose. And this is "his" course. He knows it better than anybody. That's why I picked him in the first place. Plus he has that look about him, like he can smell blood out there. I also think it is an advantage for Phil not to be teamed up with Spieth, and be in front of him. I think Mickelson either falls flat on his face from taking too many chances today, or he's right there with Spieth in the end.

I also have Dustin to finish in the top 10 1* +154, I also played him to win for 1* so I could net .5* out of it.

He and Day are the best closers on the leader board so I like there chances to win their matches

As for the final Four I like Phil to either win or come second That is sweet bet at Pinnacle at +183 Phils avg round is 72 on Tour Justin 74, So I could see him passing Justin I think Speith will shoot 72ish and Phil 70ish and Rose struggles early and does not have a similiar back nine as yesterday. If Phil can post -11, -12 who knows!

Should be fun better that the last couple of years.

Phil wants Jacket #4 he can smell it, It would put him with Arnie, Jack and Tiger

Go Leftie!

So sharp I think I might be cut.

If so I'll prolly run into JB Bumass Holmes somewhere around here.

I'm so with you on DJ.....Dustin was worth the investment win or lose IMO

Phil really looks good with the putter today. Great start for Rose, who hasn't been good on the front 9 until today. Nothing seems to shake Spieth though. Pretty good sign for him.

Best of luck....... but, serious question...... does have that many plays (many of which overlap) almost assure losing money?

with top 5 & top 10 you can get some pretty good odds where you only need a couple of wins..

Spieth +245
Day +310
Rory +145
Scott 4/1
Phil +535

no ..."overlap " didn't come into play with this tournament

I took Spieth at 10-1 and Mickelson at 23-1 and they finished 1-2. The first time I've won a golf bet since picking Rose in the U.S. Open last year. I should quit while I'm ahead. Anybody think Spieth can stay in the zone and win another major this year?

Funny that at 21 he shoots 18 under at the Masters. He'll win many majors from here on in but will he ever shoot -18
at Augusta again that's pretty unlikely. If he does Jack's 18 majors looks like a possibility.

As far as outright winners (not including make the cut or Top 5 plays) the same guy has cashed them twice for me (Jimmy Walker) as I've played several tournaments the last year and a half....The irony of this is I've never played Jimmy Walker in the majors to win outright as one would think I would at least be more partial to him, but I don't see him like that in the majors.

everyone starts 0-0 for the rest of the majors....anything can happen...odds will be to low to bet Spieth for the US Open
