sad to see someone said Lynyrd Skynyrd, I like them a lot and have seen them more than any other band. They always seem to get matched up with somebody else I'm seeing.
I of course know it keeps getting watered down over the years and i'm not quite old enough to have seen them pre-plane crash, first saw them at Red Rocks somewhere circa 1987. Seeing a favored band at the best venue I've ever been to made it special.
Surprised some dislike for Pink Floyd, Dark side and earlier stuff pretty awesome, later works not as great.
I like the Who, first concert I ever saw In 1982 ( San Diego) I didn't care too much for Tommy, but a pretty solid body of work.
Stones are my all-time favorite. Seen them twice in their latter years, like 20 years ago, wouldn't pay a ton to see the near 80 year version of the band now...but would go if good seats at very discounted price.... honorable mention in no particular order to:
The Kinks
Bob Seeger
Doors, but I can see how some might dislike them !
Beatles
Dire Straights
Weird Al
Floyd, Skynyrd, and Who as previously mentioned
Talking Heads
Joe Walsh
Neil Young
CSN
various Eric Clapton bands
and many more I'm forgetting
but keep Queen, Zep, Dead, and 99.9% of Rap-Hip-Hop, and Gospel stuff. not big on the Christian rock category either.
I'm neutral on a lot of stuff like ZZ top ( like some of it), Boston ( all sounds the same), Rush, Bon Jovi
Somewhat like Springsteen and U-2, but wouldn't pay for tickets, would accept free tix, or close to free !
i'm a bit unfamiliar with most bands formed after Y2k.
