How about how bad the AFC has looked so far this year. NFC wins head to head battle today 3-1 and the only loss was New Orleans (most likely a non playoff team in NFC) losing by 2 points ON THE ROAD to the new dominant AFC team, Denver.

Pittsburgh is overrated & won't do jack shit come playoff time. I'd give +7 on them against Indy, SD, or New England.

At this point, best team doesn't matter. Some of the "best teams" might not get in the playoffs if they don't get their shit together. The AFC is totally wide open. There is a LONGSHOT on the board right now who could win it legitamitely

Pitt is very overrated. People who had them as their best afc team had not seen their o-line play. Solid defense and good skill positions but o-line is pathetic. Pitt will get RAPED by Jax in a few weeks.

Just curious who you are thinking here in terms of a legitimate longshot? You do have a strong point about some teams needing to get their shit together. The Chargers better come out ready to smoke someone or I will start to question the legitimacy of that team.

Strong words there, I can't say I disagree. My concern is the Jax offense which I've not been sold on since the heyday of Brunell, McCardell, & Smih.

Pitt never plays well against Jax....just because Jax is the only team in the NFL that is better than they are at what they do. They have out smashmouthed the Steelers their last three matchups and Ben always struggles against them.

The bottom line is, all of the top teams have flaws. Doesn't matter if you are talking about the current 3-0's or the preseason fav's of Indy, NE, Pitt & SD.

Denver's D is obviously suspect & they are fortunate (to say the least) to be 3-0. I'm willing to give them somewhat of a pass b/c it was SD & NO who put up points on them (even at home). Not exactly the worst offenses around.

They keep playing like this and they will get smoked come playoff time. But looking at their schedule.....Very possible they could be 7-0 heading into the bye.

KC on deck should be no problem. LJ might carve them up for 150 but I doubt they keep pace scoring wise with Thigpen at the helm.

TB & J'ville visit Denver after that. Both can put up some points but they are hardly in SD & NO class offensively.

Week 7 is a Monday nighter in NE. Cassell should be in full swing by then but Denver has never had a problem beating NE Brady or no Brady.

After the Bye? Miami, Clev & Atl.

The only people saying Denver is the flavor of the month are the ones who listen to what the talking heads tell them. That this team is averaging over 35 ppg so far should surprise no one. You could see it coming a mile away.

they stunk, plain and simple....they would have lost even WITH brady at QB yesterday...that not even in doubt IMO...they woulda lost even with brady yesterday...

i heard on the radio today (i was sorta outta it so i may not be 100% on the money but the gist of what i remember or think i remember was)... after the loss to AZ the offense cordinator grabbed the qb coach who was arkansas offensive cordinator last year (something to this effect) and said lets come up with some crazy shit...and they did and it had the pats d totally off balance...seymour said "they had no idea what was going on, and they were like a chicken with its head cut off yesterday"....

i think the balance of power right now sides in the NFC...

no brady IS that good and IMO is worth MORE THAN a TD a game which is what vegas basically put his worth at...

what i believe is we are NOT gonna see what we saw last year (ie: Pats 48 also rans 17)...
what we are gonna see is a lot of Patriots 21 Opponents 17 which is what we have seen in their 2 wins this year....

and yes i believe you can put anyone who knows the offense (which is very complicated) behind center and with their schedule YES they will win 11-13games....thats why they kept cassel and didnt go after someone off the street bc he knows the complicated offense...their schedule will enable them to have the best or 2nd best record in the AFC this year...

so do you still believe this nonsense? still think they will win between 11-13 games?
