When you start picking winners at over 80% you will have a whole bunch of new best friends. None of them bookies of course.

I never heard of him before this THREAD....

which is why it is so smart by the rx... personally i would not stop short tho...

make an extra forum for the best cappers on the forum and showcase the most popular/successful talent on the board.

reward those who provide something for the traffic to view and give others something to aspire to.

That exact idea has been discussed, but we're going to approach this with baby steps & see how it works out.

I think it would awesome to showcase the top 3-5 guys from the tracker forum with their own forums, but some of them probably don't want to deal with the hassle and the last thing we want to do is spread things out to the point that it makes it harder for people to find what they are looking for.

Give it time-we're all ears. :toast:

Uno,

I think the backlash from this would be miserable. If you become a forum that touts individual cappers, what will happen to the forum when those cappers go on a bad streak? The forum itself will lose credibility.

It is like the NBA when they made the decision to just tout the hell out of individual players instead of teams. Remember the massive decline in ratings when Jordan left? It will be like that but to a smaller degree.

Also, what will happen when some of these individuals (and some will) decide to go tout?

This will also create insane jealousy and this guy will be bashed to bits whenever he goes on a losing streak. People will say things like "This guy is 4-16 ATS over his last 20, a fucking monkey could do better, xxxxxx deserves his own forum and not this chump". Then the downward spiral will begin.

Look at the way AA gets bashed (and I will admit I am one of the bashers because he posts false records), that will happen moreso with any posters that have their own forum. It is just going to create a massive shitfight and cause many quality posters to leave.

I could be wrong though.

I don't care if he has his own forum. He is however a 22 year old who uses trends to make picks, thinks "money management" is the key to sportsbetting and advises us not to chase or play too many games. Yes, this should end well. :ohno:

Just to let everyone know, Randizzle14 is Who he says he is.

I know this because I know him from his First Forum. ( that I know of )Statfox

When he first came along ( and I think he was a Cousin of someone there ) or was it a brother ?? Not sure.

He was All over the place ! Much so, that he Crushed and Burned !

Meaning, at first posting some small plays. Winning some and Losing some.

Then he Upped the ante, Money Mangement was no where to be found.
He went BROKE. Losing many units.

Because he was a College Student, he couldn't afford to go on.
So he Left, taking a few months off. popping in and out, posting a play or two here and there.

Then he Popped up here at the RX. :drink:

maybe set up requirements on the thread. how about instead of giving each of them a thread forum of their own, put them all in a (60% and up forum), if one goes on a cold streak and dip belows 60, take him out and put someone else in who is hitting 60%, or something like this. This way you get to keep a surplus of 60% cappers in that thread. I think it would eliminate jealousy because if someone gos cold, hes out until he picks it back up and it would also keep the jealousy at bay because it wouldnt be just one person getting his own forum but a surplus of good cappers. It would also motivate other guys to up their game so they could be in there. and if someone goes tout, get him out of there and let him post in the tout forum. just my .002.

Thought this guy was a Lem Banker type character. Seems a little irresponsible to be giving a relatively inexperienced gambler this much publicity over a hot streak and not much more.

Could have just stickied his plays at the top of the College Football forum if searching for his plays within the massive threads was the problem.

Agreed. But it's all about drawing in more posters/visitors for ad revenue and giving him his own forum probably does that...

For The Record

Randizzle was posting at Covers and apparently something caused him to leave the site (probably bashers) and he started posting here and brought a large contingent of followers with him. So large that it created a difficult situation for him to post his plays and keep them visible as our College Football Forum is extremely busy to begin with.

We decided to just add a forum for him because his thread from week 10 garnered over 62,000 views and 311 replies. He also caused The Rx.com to set a new online user record on a Thursday night something that as a general rule only happens on NFL Sundays.

Most users ever online was 7,639, 11-06-2008 at 07:34 PM.

Thread with 62,000 views.
http://forum.therx.com/showthread.php?t=627522

Bottom line (just like we did with the service play thread) we gave Randizzle his own forum to reduce congestion in the College Football Forum which will see around 250 to 300 active threads today without the service play or Randizzle threads.

Randizzle is not being paid a cent to post here, he is just a popular poster who all of a sudden showed up and we decided a separate forum whould be the best way to handle the extra traffic. Once the BCS Championship game is over we will dismantle the forum and merge all the threads into the College Football Forum.

Extra traffic does us little good when it comes to revenue. What does help is posters using our sponsors to wager by clicking on our banner ads.

Those are the real facts of the matter. Speculate all you want but there is nothing underhanded or deceptive with the separate forum.

Thanks, wilheim
