Mixed emotions about The Cliff's Edge winning the Blue Grass...as stated above, I used him on top in exacta ($40.80) and trifecta ($160.40), so that was nice -- just wish I had played the superfecta, too. Oh, well.

But I'm expecting everyone to get on the bandwagon now for the Derby so I know I won't be playing him in three weeks.

Hope others here followed my advice and are cashing tickets, too.

dont be too sure you cant get a square (fair price) at the Derby on him. I guess you can get 7-1 which is great value maybe 8-1 on ehorsex. He is the only closer in the field that even remotely looks impressive (unless you like that young gals horse from California Imperialism). I happen to think that there will not be a closer in the top three (much like last year) and will play the true pace setters who can hang on for 1 1/4, and the one or two true stalkers. But there will be no huge Bandwagon on Cliffs Edge. Solid horse and a great run today. great job on the TRI!!!

i kind of like Lion Heart. He reminds me much of PEace Rules (not that PEace rules won the Derby but he was 1st or second for 99.9 % of the race last year). A fast colt who has an amazing record of 1st and 2nd's. And has shown again today he can get this kind of distance with most other colts and has Heart to keep running even if getting passed. But my "Heart" says somebody will peak a bit more and beat him but I see him in top 3.
