Easy stuff:

Winner of ACC Championship
Winner of Big 10 Championship
Winner of SEC Championship
Oklahoma if they win.

If they don't win, Auburn if Auburn loses to Georgia.

A 3 loss Auburn team is not getting in, period no matter what.

Who would you have ahead of them? Could make a case for NC State I suppose, but their resume is far from sublime.

You're sounding like a tinfoil hatter. Mississippi State being ranked 24th instead of 29th is not what is putting Auburn and Bama in the top 6.

They are being used to prop up a resume as a "ranked team". They have done it for years with SEC teams.

Do you know the Bulldogs are the only Power 5 team to play only 8 games against Power 5/Group of 5 teams & a FCS in the entire country? Also of the teams from those categories that they beat, none had over 5 wins?

So how exactly is that a top 25 caliber resume?

You didn't answer my question. Who should be in front of them that is not?

Even if you are able to name a handful, it doesn't really matter. Let's say Miss St is ranked 30. You think Auburn, Bama, or UGA slip at all because of that?

It would weaken what is already a suspect resume for a team that truly has no signature wins when you look at what their opponents ended up doing this year in the case of Alabama. Being outside of the top 25 would definitely resonate when looking at anyone's resume really because the condition is out there that only quality gets ranked in the top 25.

1) Why won't you answer my question? What specific teams would you slot in ahead of MSU? There must be several at the tip of your tongue if this scam is so egregious. It's a necessary piece of support for your argument.
2) Let's say hypothetically MSU is ranked 30. Where do you think Auburn and Bama would be ranked respectively?

He can't answer that. It's the reason you have no response. It's just hate on the SEC....

Also.....cant figure out the beef with Miss St. They got beat by 3 teams in the top 6. The loss to Ole Miss was because their QB went down....so the same excuse can be applied as Clemson is using against Syracuse

Chances to be in the college football playoff according to 538 predictions:
Makes Playoff:
Clemson 76%
Oklahoma 66%
Auburn 52%
Alabama 48%
------------------
Wisconsin 47%
Georgia 42%
Ohio St. 34%
Miami 22%
TCU 6%
USC 5%

On a neutral field IMO Alabama would be the favorite over any college mentioned above.

No, they do not. When this is your schedule:

#3 Florida State (5-6)

Fresno State (9-3)

Colorado State (7-5)

Vanderbilt (5-7)

Ole Miss (6-6)

Texas A&M (7-5)

Arkansas (4-8)

Tennessee (4-8)

#19 LSU (9-3)

#16 Mississippi State (8-4)

Mercer (5-6)

#6 Auburn (10-2)

and you are trending downward in terms of performance (barely beat Miss St & got beat by double digits by Auburn), you are not deserving of a playoff spot over a potential undefeated power 5 champ (Big 10), a guaranteed 1 loss power 5 champ (ACC with the potential that the champ could be the team that beat the same team that just beat you by double digits), a potential 1 loss power 5 champ (Big 12) & possibly a one loss power 5 champ from your conference.

So based on facts, where does Alabama deserve to be there?

Oh yeah, they do not.
Schedule was really weak for Bama, but if Ohio State, knocks off Wisconsin do you feel that Alabama will get the nod over the Buckeyes ? Committee could be a little biased here. Also, I think the Crimson Tide would be favored over any team out there.

I just don't see how a big ten team won't make it.I realize that it's better if Ohio St wins ,but they played a better schedule than Alabama, and if Wisconsin wins then they would be a conference champion,so do they keep a conference champion out and let Alabama squeeze in,it would be hard to see that happen,..now i'm a Bama fan,but they really have not played like they belong there.I don't see Alabama being able to beat Oklahoma anyway,..just my thoughts

I think that if Ohio St wins on Saturday I dont think they are a lock to get in with 2 losses as I think that loss to Iowa is gong to haunt them but who knows. Its all about the money and the committee knows that Ohio State travels well but who the hell knows.Myself I dont think Ohio St should get in but just my opinion.

I think Wisky is in with a win, but Ohio St is favored to win and they're not a lock for the Big 10

you know Willie you think this would be easy this year,as if teams win their conference or whatever else they deem enough to earn the spot, but i see them trying to get Alabama in there somehow, which they are hoping that Georgia beats Auburn and then they have the excuse of Auburn has 3 losses and that don't warrant a spot in the playoff....as this got closer to the ending of the season,i thought the committee would have a easy time picking the 4 teams but that don't seem the case

somebody is going to be pissed, and I love it :)

I want 8 teams, I always wanted 8 teams

Team 9 or 10 can complain about team 7 or 8, that's not real important to me. But teams 5 and 6 are often times just as deserving as team number 1 as we're going to see this year

If that happens, Georgia is in. The winner of the SECCG is in. Lock city. No way Bama gets in over SEC champ Georgia, when both have essentially the same loss.

I'm assuming Oklahoma and Clemson will win and be in.

If Wisconsin wins they round it out.

The big unknkown IMO is between Bama and OSU if OSU beats Wisconsin. I think OSU would get the nod considering Bama didn't even win their division much less their conference, and their schedule was too weak to overcome that. No signature wins.

Of course you could have further bedlam if OK or Clemson lose, but cross that bridge if we come to it.

Bama needs help. They need OSU to beat Wisconsin and/or Oklahoma to lose.

The lynchpin game for them is really OK/TCU, because I think the winner of B10CG gets in regardless.

This is probably it:

Winner of B10CG
Winner of SECCG
Winner of ACCCG

All locks.

If OK wins B12CG, they are in. If not, Bama probably gets that 4th spot.

Yea i always thought at least 6 teams should be considered, and maybe sometimes 8,but i feel over 6 that those teams really don't deserve to be there

Harry,i'm assuming the same, but as we all know and have seen, they like to do what they want no matter what anybody thinks, they just want to make money on the best teams that will fall into that category
