Well Maybe Working at the Wal-Mart Wouldn't Be So Bad

The Way We Live Now: Still unemployed, why the fuck do you keep asking? Hamptons parking sticker theft can only keep us going for so long, ya know. If New York doesn't get a Wal-Mart soon, it's panic time.
The thing that makes America great is its hustling spirit, and nowhere is that more evident than in the many new and creative ways we find to rob and steal from our wealthier neighbors to stay afloat. Instead of paying $25 for a parking sticker in the Hamptons, people are stealing them. Why is this news? Because everything that happens in the Hamptons is news, and also because, ha, one of the people that got robbed was Calvin Klein, can you imagine the look on his smug rich face when he has to stand in line at some shitty municipal office all day to get another parking sticker?
You can rob his car again while he does so.
Sadly, robbing Calvin Klein is not an industry large enough to support America's teenagers, all of whom are out of work because they do not hold the advanced degree now required to land a Taco Bell job. The only hope for our most unskilled and unemployable citizens: Wal-Mart. And it's trying to get into NYC again.
Wal-Mart has tried this before. They were handily run out of town by the unions and told not to come back lest they find their automobiles burglarized for their parking stickers, and also maybe they would "find" a baseball bat contacting their shins at high speed, because you ain't from around here is ya, Wal-Mart? So back then Wal-Mart went on home, to Arkansas, (or Florida), where they are against unions, because unions are communists. (And homos??). But now everything has changed because there is no more money and hello, your old friend Wal-Mart is back, with jobs, to move into NYC! Wal-Mart would like to move into a poor neighborhood somewhere in an outer borough where they will be welcomed, and unions still say they will put up a big fight, but will they?
We hope they can keep Wal-Mart out. But we're not optimistic. Cause in our great nation these days, if you're not working at the Wal-Mart, you're working at the casino. And nobody's working at the casino any more.

Fact is.... walmart often has the best price.

My cat will only eat their food, have to go there just for that fact alone. I think they put something in the cat food that addicts the cats !

Walmart keeps Wic forms and food stamp forms in their break rooms, so their employees can afford to shop there too.

I can't argue with a successful business model ! I'd rather be dead than work there, but Sam Walton did create the most successful business ever ( arguably).

SCOTTDALE, Pa. — A southwestern Pennsylvania man faces child endangerment charges after he allegedly passed out in a Walmart while a 3-year-old child was in his care.
State police charged 26-year-old Terry L. Stewart with endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest in the December 18 incident.
Police say the Connellsville man was found unconscious in a store around 3 a.m. Employees blocked the exits after Stewart said he wasn't sure if he'd brought one or two children inside. The 3-year-old girl was soon located and police learned another child was safe at a relative's house.
Tpr. Stephen Limani says Stewart was under the influence of a drug used to treat opiate addiction at the time.
A phone listing for Stewart could not immediately be located. A preliminary hearing has not yet been set.

Action News
EXTON, Pa. - February 16, 2012 -- Police arrested a man found wandering around a Walmart wearing nothing but socks, and the odd incident was all caught on camera.

In the surveillance video police say you can see Verdon Lamont Taylor stripping in the middle of the Walmart parking lot in Exton, Pennsylvania.

It happened around 5:00pm Wednesday at a busy hour.

Taylor takes off his socks and all of his clothes and then waltzes into the Walmart. The video shows shocked shoppers trying to avoid him.

"Large guy, about 6'4", 200 lbs; he is an imposing figure, and he is naked. I'm sure there were people scared in there," said Detective Scott Pezick.

Once inside, police say Taylor walked up to the customer service line where a bag of returned goods sat on the table. Taylor pulled out a pair of socks and proceeded to put them on.

"There was one employee who got a coat and followed him, which is kind of a brave thing to do," said Detective Pezick. "I think most people were startled and just tried to avoid him."

Police responded and placed the man under arrest. Taylor allegedly spit on an officer as he was taken away from Walmart on a gurney. Police had to use a Taser to subdue him.

"He wouldn't follow commands, at which point they did need to deploy a Taser, and he was taken into custody," Detective Pezick said.

Investigators don't believe Taylor suffers from any sort of mental illness. They believe he may have been under the influence of drugs.

Taylor faces one count of aggravated assault for spitting on that officer. He also faces indecent assault and other related charges.

He remained behind bars unable to post $50,000 cash bail.

Some people are such hypocrites, you laugh at the people at walmart because you are so much better than them, typical american way, first idont think most of them are the way (financially) and otherwise on their own, and if it was not for places like walmart, God forbid what these people would have to face, they certainly would not be able to afford a damn shirt at Macy's for $100.00 when theycould get one at walmart for $7.99 and both probably came from the same damn factory in china, they are more frugal than most of you guys, and they have reasonably prices items, if you feel you are better because you pay so much more for an Item on a "top class" store then you are fools, you are getting f*&&ED up the rear with out a condom.

do you think these macys etc would after a few months have a item onsale 70-80% off and is not making a profit??

We are real fools in america, hard times can hit any one, at any time, success is not "owed" to you, never look people down, never.

I live well and certainly go to walmart now and then, its smart shopping, there are some things you get at some places for the price, quality etc.

My ex gfs sister use to work for walmart and she had some stories. Lots of characters who shop and hangout there. I hate going to the walmart by my house, people actually beg for money inside the store.

I know this woman that had just been released from jail in Elko, NV. She had first been arrested in Calif. during the summer, and when she was released, was sent to Elko for an outstanding warrant in that area. So all she has to wear are summer clothing, like a pair of shorts and short sleeve shirt.

Now it's November and it's getting cold when she gets released. I had just sent her $50 to help her out. 6 hours later from her release, she gets caught shoplifting in a Walmart. I asked her what happened, and she told me this guy was buying her a coat so she walked out of the store with it. I told her she was full of shit because how was the cashier know what kind of coat it was and how much it costs if she couldn't scan the item? What a liar!

I wa actually looking for this thread around Christmas and Couldn't Find It, but Now That It's Been BUMPED...What The Hell....

I Stopped By WalMart After Work 2 Days Before Christmas...
My List Was Simply...
2 Cartons of Breyers Icecream(B1G1 Free)
A Few LBS of Boars Head Meat(B1G1 Free)
And A Few Last Minute Stocking Stuffers

Well....I NEVER Get a Buggy When I Go In WalMart, but It Seems I Always End Up Needing One.
So After Shopping For 20 Minutes Or So, and Gathering The Items on My List & Also Running Across A Few Other Items...My Hands Were Full and I Was In Need Of A Buggy BAD!

As I Headed Up Front To Get A Buggy, There Happened To Be An Empty Buggy Parked In The Main Isle, and NoOne Was Around It...The Closest Person Was a Guy Looking For Some New Fruit of The Looms About 30 Feet Away. So I Assumed The Buggy Didn't Belong To AnyOne In Particular So I Began Placing My Items In The Buggy. After Finishing, I Started Rolling Off, I Heard A Loud Voice, "Oh HELL NO, I KNOW HE Didn't!!" I Kept Rolling My New, Now Apprehended Buggy!
Again, The Loud Voice, "Oh And He's Just Going To Keep On Keeping On!" Finally I Hear FootSteps And Again The Voice, This Time Getting Closer and Even Louder, "So This CRACKER Is Just Going To Steal My Buggy and Then Ignore Me!!" Finally I Turn Around And The Middle Age, Probably 50-55 Year Old Guy Is Coming Towards Me With His Hands Clinched, Looking Like He Was Ready For ROUND 3 of An MMA Fight!! I Said, "Sir, I'm Sorry I Didn't Realize This Empty Buggy Belonged To You! But You Can Have It Back!" His Quick Reply, "You Damned Right I'm Getting My Buggy Back You Damn Buggy Theif!" By This Time We Had An Audience Of OnLookers..as I Began Gathering My Items In My Arms. A Nice Older Lady, A Greeter I Suppose Rushed Up Front and Brought Me a Buggy. Even That Got A Reply Fron The Outragged Shopper..."Oh Yeah, That's Right, Always Catering To The White Man!" I Kept My Cool and Rolled To The Checkout Lane and Haven't Been Back Since.
